Very clean, incorrect aux lamp driver board though.

Nonetheless it's the wrong board, you can see the bracket for the correct one below the display. Someone hacked the wiring to run the larger board.

Is that a problem if it works?

That's not a factory install. I have been studying Centaurs in detail for the last year because I'm looking into making wiring harness. Manual and schematic clearly indicates AS-2518-43. not a -52.

And to me it does make a difference when asking premium prices for classic Bally pins.

Some buyers will care, others will not. I was just making an offhand comment. The playfield on this one looks superb, which is unusual, most are flogged to death or yellowed out.

Granted, but what would be the reason for the board swap?

    #9 1 year ago

The -43 failed or went missing and someone had a -52 on hand. On the control side the pins are the same, on the output side slightly different which is why the second plug was added and the wires moved over to the corresponding output pins.

Still, this is a nice looking Centaur.

    #11 1 year ago

    I didn't dispute that.

I'll purchase a new board and install for anyone that is interested $45 from https://nvram.weebly.com/bally-aux-ldb--43.html - both boards do the same thing just different wiring configuration - when I purchased the game years ago thats probably what was on hand at the time for the repair someone did.
