Item description

This is a game that you don't see every day. United games are hard to find, and this is the most player-friendly game that United built. I also happen to think that this is one of the most beautiful art packages on any pinball machine.

The roto feature allows the player to spin the center square of eight numbers, rotating to an optimal position before shooting their fourth (or fifth) ball. Two carry over features, Lite-a-name allows the player to spell caravan by hitting the rollovers when lit, the second being the 'special pocket' award of 8 balls the next game. This award requires multiple steps of the special pocket unit, by landing a ball in #24 when the feature is lit. This will award a 5 in a line amount of replays as soon as the final letter is lit. Diagonal scoring allows the player to score in the 'odd' diagonals (also known as 'red diagonals'.) These diagonals can score independently of the main card scoring opportunities (vertical/horizontal/diagonal), and there is a feature that allows these odd diagonals to score 3 as 4 and 4 as 5! The game also has a corners feature, and a select-a-spot feature, which allows the player to choose a spotted number, including #16! Up to 3 extra balls can be purchased, or awarded (see special pocket feature). Lastly, the UMC rollover feature, when enabled, allows the player to receive three spotted numbers per rollover.

The bad:
Cabinet paint is flaking a bit. Front door had previously been pried and doesn't remain locked very well. Damage is minimal, and mostly internal.
Roto motor needs to be cleaned, older goo covering rotor just needs to be cleaned and it should be perfect. The roto does free up and move smoothly once the layer of goo heats a little (approx two spins). Inserts are slightly sunken due to shrinkage, and backglass has typical flaking in the sky (blue) area.

The good:
The game itself runs like a top, I've rebuilt all the mechanical units except for the control and mixer unit. These I have ensured received lubrication in the motor bearings as well as the clutches. I have the game on (temporary) free play using a jumper wire on the coin switch. If you prefer coin play, simply remove the jumper wire and you are good to go.

I hate to sell this, but I desperately need the space. You are welcome to try it before you buy.
