Item description

I have had this Cactus Canyon for over 5 years now and it is time to sell it. It is a great game! I haven't actually played it that much. I am the only one who plays it-no kids, no parties, not routed. As you probably know, Williams/Bally only made 903 of these games. They don't come up for sale that often. This one is in great condition. Everything works-no Credit Dot. I just gave the game a light shop job, but it didn't really need it-new batteries, flipper rubber, replaced a roll-over switch, took apart and cleaned the Bad Guy drop target assemblies, etc. When I bought the game the seller said that he was the original owner. When I took the photos yesterday it was overcast, so sorry if the photos aren't that bright. PINSIDE said the median selling price is $11,500, so that's my asking price. I'm out of space and money, so, please NO TRADES. Oh, and NO LOW BALLERS! Thanks for looking!

Maybe a few more play field pics outlining any blemishes. Looks like a perfect candidate for a continued kit.

Price is right. Few more pics and you should be waving goodbye...

Great example! Should be waving goodbye soon!

Great game. I am cringing and crying that the game is so nice and you have those cabinet protectors on it. Remove ASAP as it will ruin the decals. Get the metal hidden ones. Those cabinet protectors are like the kiss of death on that game and monster bash. Hurry Hurry.

#8 4 years ago

Damn, bad timing on my part to be broke right now...game looks great, I want....

Onwallst is correct about the plastic protectors...decals will bubble in this area...

I agree! As soon as I bought my CQ wms MB I put on the Stern metal spacers. Well worth the $15! This game had the cabinet protectors on it when I bought the game over 5 years ago and I was less well-informed about pinball machines then.

Some more pics. Also, the cabinet and backbox had been re-decaled before I bought the game. Everything else is original. Domestic game, too. Oh, and I have the Collector's Plaque (I've heard them selling for as much as $300).

You may want to post a pic of the Gold Mine scoop

#12 4 years ago

Here you go... It's hard to see the entrance to the Gold Mine scoop. I never really paid attention to it. I removed the Boulders to get a picture. It looks like there is some touch-up.

Good to have a plate but it isn’t from your machine. It has a different serial number.

Pretty common for the plate not to match the serial # as explained on IPDB:

Cliffy has a Gold Mine scoop protector. Problem solved!

Correct but they are out there. They are also remaking these plates in the last few months. Are the boards matching?

I will be happy to check the board serial #'s after work. As for remaking the plates, I will take anything that is original over remade, any day of the week!

Price drop to $10,500 obo.

#20 4 years ago

Comon guys. This is a great price. OP should hold this price.

#21 4 years ago

If you're on the fence about buying this game, I could possibly deliver it or meet you halfway. I'm a private collector, not a "flipper", but I have a fair amount of free time. This game is over 20 years old and, although it's not perfect, it looks great and it plays very well! Not too mention it's pretty rare and was Williams/Bally's LAST pinball machine they ever made. (P2000 weren't regular pinball machines).

Honestly people are holding out for the Remake I think.

I went out last night so I didn't get a chance to check the serial #'s until just now. All the serial #'s match except the Driver board. Not a big deal in my book. Also, there are no hacks on any of the boards.

The rumors about a remake have been going on for years! This game only ranks 39 on IPBD's Top 300 and not many people have played it. Theatre of Magic, which is rated #2 on IPDB, is a much more likely choice IMO.

Hmmmmm, I am currently restoring a TOM and the only thing that keeps me going is that I convinced myself that Cactus Canyon is coming first...
TOMs are readily available for 50% the cost of CC

#26 4 years ago

Once converted to Continued, it wont matter whether boards are matching or not. The remake wont matter.

#27 4 years ago

Just for the record, I am selling this game because I eventually plan on selling my home and moving to the Portland, OR area. I plan on selling this game and many more down the road to raise some funds for the move and new house purchase and to lighten the load for moving. This is the most expensive game in my collection so, to me, in made the most sense to sell.

#28 4 years ago

Had to do something similar a couple of years ago. Sold 17 games to finish a new build on a house. Good luck with the move.

Thanks whthrs166! I'm dreading the move! ;-(

It is 100% not Cactus Canyon next for CGC!

I cant reveal my source.

Good point! If I could afford to keep the game I would definitely do the CCC conversion.

Fixed many of these with an Exacto knife and a hair dryer. Then install the metal hidden protectors and presto!

Monday bump and price drop.

#40 4 years ago

Don’t drop anymore. Hold out.

#41 4 years ago

If I had not just recently bought SS, I would have already driven up to you and this would be in my house. Someday maybe I will have a CC, but right now, no room and just spent the funds that would have financed this game... Ugh..

#42 4 years ago

Did you buy that one in SoCal on Pinside a week or two ago?

#43 4 years ago

No, I bought one and had it shipped from Virginia... Right before the SoCal one went up for sale at the same price I paid. Could have saved $545 in shipping... lol
