This second owner Black Knight 2000 is arguably one of nicest un-restored BK2K’s in existence. The Playfield is original and not an aftermarket re-manufactured part. All original top and bottom playfields and parts except the rubber. The cabinet is without any damage other than slight nicks. The right side shows some UV fading. This BK2K was purchased in 1996 and always stored inside my home. Any changes or additions were strictly for durability, longevity, and performance.

Game play can be accessed here (Paste URL into browser):

In-Depth Details:

—New playfield rubber

—New solenoids, sleeves, and actuator hardware (replaced if not in perfect working condition)

—All electrolytic capacitors was changed with upgraded (higher voltage) Nichicon FG or FM caps

—The sound board uses audio grade gold caps and the power transistors have upgraded heat sinks to drive new Flipper Fidelity 5” & 6.5” co-axial backboard speakers and the 8” woofer

—The OEM power supply was replaced with a Kohout 11C with micro-fans installed on the three mosfet heat sinks

—Inter-board connectors have been resoldered

—All motherboard and audio board IC’s have heat sinks installed

—Three premium Noctua 10mm liquid bearing vent fans were installed in the top box rear vents (see top cabinet pic)

—The main power capacitor was replaced

—All rectifiers were replaced with upgraded higher voltage heat sinked components

—All fuse holders were individually cleaned and new US made fuses installed

—New Silverjet precision pinballs

—New Pinballbulbs.com LED kit installed after each bulb socket was cleaned

—All music, display, sound, lamp, solenoid, and switch level diagnostic tests passed

—All transformer output voltages to spec.

—All heat sinks (original, upgraded, and added) have been thoroughly cleaned of old (dried and chalky) thermal paste and attached using Noctua NT-H1 Premium Grade Thermal Paste.

—A commercial grade Trip-Lite diagnostic power suppressor is mounted on rear of the cabinet.

—All wires have had continuity checked and fasteners cleaned of any corrosion. Nuts, bolts, and screws have been tightened to correct engineering grade torque. Half of the ground screws/fasteners were found to not make a clean 0 ohm connection--for example; boards to cabinet and plug ground to transformer and lower and upper cabinet.

—Audit 05, Total plays: 430

—Audit 18 , Total Minutes played: 939

Yes, this is likely the lowest played BK2K in existence (maybe Uncle Fester has one with less than 500 plays in his basement).

What a beautiful game! Do you think it would do well on route at a chuck e cheese?

#9 5 months ago

Come on guys it’s got brand new silverjets in it.

Great looking game, but still i find it way overpriced.

I just bought a player BK2K for $2400.00. Deals are out there.

However, your chicky salesgirl in your movie is pleasant on the eyes.

Why on Earth would someone put heat-sinks on the components like that? I've probably seen 40,000 pinball boards but never this. Good grief.

For $8500 does that include white glove treatment and setup in my home by the chick in the video? Could be worth it.

#13 5 months ago

Does it come with the missing led in the wheel?

#14 5 months ago

They sure don't make them like they used to.

I have never seen a more efficiently cooled system 11. I count 3 powered fans and 23 heat sinks individually applied throughout the board set. It is an extremely nice pin. I wonder how hard it is to pull the mylar with lifting at the inserts without ruining the art underneath?

If it was extremely nice, it would not have that much lifting. See link I provided above.

And can be a total fk story removing it on these I have heard. Not to mention the inserts themselves may no longer be flat.

What is special about this one is it looks to have the early production futuristic plastics like mine did and I don't think they have been reproduced. But, it also looks to be missing the original topper which is not so easy to find.

I may have to get mine back from the guy that bought it and see if the mylar and everything else is still as nice as it was when I sent it packing. I have heard he is over it now. Plays some pretty cool music if I remember correctly.

Trying to get his money back after wasting so much money buying a kit from Pinballbulbs I guess lol.
