I am offering up this game for friends who are not pinball folks, but have owned this one game for 20+ years. I played it last evening for the first time in many years, and was totally surprised as to how well it played and the overall condition. If you are looking for Black Hole in excellent original condition and working perfectly - you may want to check this one out. The game has been serviced only once during their ownership, and the service was for a minor problem. Ironically, the service person was Ivan Lysykanycz, the Allentown Pinfest chief, and the service call was years before Ivan became "Ivan!" It plays fast, and everything seems to work just fine. It does need a new set of rubbers, and minor cleaning, but the playfields are excellent, the backglass is perfect, the spinning disk in the backglass is perfect. Even the playfield glass is excellent. Overall, other than a few minor cabinet dings, the game is very nice. Original manual in the original envelope is here, but I am unsure if there is any other literature in the envelope. The game will need to go up stairs (wide) from a basement. Buyer should bring some muscle, hand truck, etc. The owner can assist, but the buyer needs to be knowledgeable in dismantling the game - head, connections, etc. The connectors all have original decals, so reassembling the game should be easy. The game is currently not set on FREEPLAY. The owners use a quarter to put credits on the game.
I have been a collector/buyer/seller/hobbyist for many years, but the early 80's games are a "black hole" for me. I am unaware if upgrades have been done to the "system," as are the owners. The game was purchased from Cricket Amusements in Allentown, PA, back when Cricket was a major player with games on location. I will only release contact information for the owners to those who use the telephone to call me. Game is located in Emmaus, PA - 50 miles north of Philadelphia and 10 minutes from the Allentown Show location. I will be unable to respond to emails or forum posts for a while as my laptop is headed for the shop today - 1/20/16. No trade offers, please. Sellers are relocating, which is why they are selling the machine.
