Game - for sale

For sale: Black Hole and Volcano projects

Added: 2019-07-24 22:15:21 UTC • Ended: September 4th, 2019
Condition: As is

Price

$ 1,200

Need to thin some stuff out for more space so I can focus on other projects.

Black Hole- basically all there, the only thing is it’s in a haunted house lower cabinet (which is the correct cabinet because it has the lower playfield brackets in place) the headbox is original black hole with the art, spinning disk and motor, etc. the undersides of both games are very clean, no rust or rot. Only rust is on the shooter rod and volcano apron.

Game does not work, I have not dug into it at all. Backglass has some flaking. Playfields are very good for this title (factory Mylar) missing a couple plastics, it needs to be restored.

I also have a Volcano- playfield and cabinet are very nice, very nice underside, no backglass. Otherwise, nearly all there and above average shape. Only rust is on the metal apron

So in total, there are two driver boards, two sound boards, two CPU’s (with acid damage) the light chaser board, 3 or 4 pop driver boards, two power supplies, the credit display for BH.

Looking to move them both together for $1200
Hate to, because I know how to get them going and they’re a ton of fun, but I just have a few too many stove top projects going on right now.

Sti shipping okay, they run a two for one deal.

Any questions? Feel free

Thanks, James

James,

You will be sorry you sold these. Both are very neat games in their own way. Great deal for someone looking for a couple classics that doesn't mind doing a little work!

I know. They’re really not hard games to get running, connectors are number one and these connectors look good at least.

I just have too many projects I need to get to right now and I’m fumbling over games, I’m out of room at the moment. Both games are classics in every sense of the word.

I know what it is like to be "out of space" that is my life 95% of the time. I have always wanted a Volcano machine just because it is so different & I really like the looks of the backglass. I have owned several of them over the years but never had a nice enough one to keep so I never have played one here at the house. One of these days a nice one will pass through! As far as Black Hole - as we sell down our collection that will be one of the last classic Gottlieb's to leave. Love that machine!

Anyway - someone should grab those from you. A Black Hole cabinet shouldn't be that hard to find and once finished Black Hole is worth well over your asking price for both machines! So someone could basically have a free Volcano machine just by doing a little work.

I'm tempted on these as I have a black hole cabinet that is currently a bookshelf and a spare lower playfield. But I also know how much work there is in piecing these things back together, board work on unknown condition boards, etc. But then again I love a challenge and saving games.....Someone else buy these as I'm also out of space and have too many projects.....But, man, wouldn't these look good next to Haunted House......oh no, save me from myself!

I'm sure they'll sell fast. GLWS!

Can we make a deal for your lower cabinet? Pm me, as I am still tempted to do these up!

I'm just like you, I'm collecting the pieces to make a whole one. It's been 15 years in the making. Plus it's a sweet bookshelf and I'm sort of a pinball hoarder and don't like getting rid of them. I'll pm you and throw some spaghetti at the wall, maybe something will stick.
