Well... I was just about to PM you an offer of $3k for your game as listed... then I came across the part in the ad about no playfield glass. Doh!! Alas, I now feel obliged to reduce my offer to $1500... what say ye?

#3 3 years ago

I don't think standard widebody glass works on these.

#4 3 years ago

I can get glass cut locally. runs about $70 for stern wide body

#5 3 years ago

I can get a Stern Big Game locally. Runs about $800.

Please do...and be sure to share with the others who would already have bought at that price.

Uummmm, they actually come up for around $800 a lot.

So buy it and resell it here for 1600 easy?

Oh? I’ve looked high and low for the past few years and only recall a non-working one listed here at $800, pulled, and reposted at $1,200. It still got interest at that price. Anything else has been rough and listed at $1,500 up to over 2k.

Funny thing, if people ever ask for these rumored prices to be passed along, no one does.

#10 3 years ago

BG used to be $800 5-6 years ago but interest in classic Sterns has increased quite a bit, and BG is one of the best. Like Nine Ball, hard to find nice ones. This one looks a bit rough for the price, but who knows. Wish CPR would get on a playfield for these...

GLASS PLAYFIELD 24-9/16 X 45.75 X 3/16 INCH is what you need for those.

$1400... final offer. Ok, maybe not final, but I just like the sound of it.

#13 3 years ago

Sold a working one two years ago for $650 unshopped.

John

#14 3 years ago

Cool. I bought one two years ago on the cheap. They made a ton of them so I’m sure since pinball prices have not gone up since then, nor has demand for classic Sterns gone up, $700 Big Game’s are everywhere.

I’ll put my money where my mouth is. Utah pinsider, buy that $800 Big Game and I’ll put $300 toward having it shipped to a Pinsider who was interested in mine last year. I declined his offer of $1k, so I’m sure he can come up with the rest of the shipping fees. My money says that game is long gone. Any other sales two+ years ago are just as valid as me saying Williams IJ is a $5,500 game since I sold mine for that two years ago.

PM when you get another one; I'm always looking.

#16 3 years ago

Most people here go by some really old pricing. Stern Big Game is nowhere close to the price on Pinside. It is like when i controlled the market for Radical at one point. Why do you think that game is 4k now?

#17 3 years ago

Got a buddy here who keeps trying to buy mine.. if anyone know of sub-1K Big Games east of the Mississippi, I'm all ears.

I'll ask my buddy who still has it if be wants to sell. It was pretty nice. Restenciled cab but had a PF overlay which i didnt love.

Mr Dayhuff also pops up in Terminator 2 ads to say he sold his a few years ago for what, $1,500? Please visit the ad in Indiana with that info, I’d like to get that one a bit cheaper!

Agreed. For the price this one would be considered rough. I think he stared a little high on the price but it is OBO. With Big Game, the play field is all. There is so much detail with this play field, a heavily worn one would cost a fortune to restore and would give Captain Neo heart tremors.

All of the detail is good on this one. Only the bingo cards need much work and the bingo cards are easy.

For $120.00 bucks? No way. I got mine made locally, tempered glass, no logo and unpolished edges for $55.00 and no shipping. Prices have gone up so maybe $70.00 today.

I have had some offers to sell mine but not at a price I am willing to sell it for since I restored it. I would like to restore a 2nd one but mine goes nowhere unless I already have the replacement to restore.

If the play field on yours is as good as this play field, I would drive to Utah and pick it up. And give you a finder's fee to boot.

Its' still a $1500 game, depending on who your buying it from of course. Ask any price you want is all I'm saying.

Stern could VE this game and call it "Endangered Species."

As long as you agree that Big Bang Bar is a sub $10k game as well!

Thanks Jason, now I will never be able to afford a radical. Classic Sterns have gone insane for sure.

Wait... how did you control radical market?

#30 3 years ago

I might go $2000 on this since its local and I could go pick it up

#31 3 years ago
Quoted from Whysnow:

I had 5 Radicals. Bought and sold to manipulate the market. I was the only one selling it for awhile. It was 1500 when i was buying them. I created the demand.

#32 3 years ago

As far as this game goes....coinopwarehouse sold an unzipped untested one for almost 2k recently and there was a line to get it.

This one has new parts and a good tech who fixed it up. Old Sterns are very tough to find now.

And i will just say that when Keith Elwin name dropped this game as one of his favs people listened.

Games like Meteor and FK2000 are way up too and they are common.

People think this game is cheap not seeing a laundry list of people wanting it.

Sure thing, I'll buy all that I can for that price.

Wait... you really think you solely took radical from a 1500 game to 4+?

#35 3 years ago

For that price it should have new pop bumper caps and a new playfield glass.

#36 3 years ago

You guys are just green with envy.

It had an overlay. Looked good, but not fantastic up close. It was "restored" by a car guy, not a pinhead. Turns out my local buddy sold it to one of our other friends but it's in Las Vegas now. He's aware of the thread, I told him he had buyers lined up if he wanted, lol.

I did buy it for $800 and sold it for about the same. I'm not trying to squeeze every dollar I can out of my pin sales. If I can get out for free, I'm happy. Especially if I'm selling to a friend. He asked for dibs on it when I was done and I made a promise. I try to keep those.

Thank you for replying. Interesting info.

Las Vegas, huh? It would be kind of cool the see roadmaps of where, and how many places a particular pin has been living for 40 years. Mine had been in a kid's basement for 20 years when I bought it in 2015. So, out in the wild for 5 years.
