TL;DR - seller hosed one of the good guys. Beware.

OP was sent (and paid) to deliver a game, noticed a QS at the destination, bought it for 1k for himself. The person paying him to deliver the game is collecting every classic Stern and sets them up for public play at a location OP used to frequent. OP knew this person wanted the game to help complete the collection (and that it would be publicly playable for everyone to enjoy) however he never once offered it for anything less than astronomical price. Instead of ever giving a fair crack at it, OP then manages to find a second QS cab/playfield, and attempts to get the Stern collector to restore one for him so he can profit even further. Total BS and ethically corrosive.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Sounds like you're just jealous of his great find. He had no obligation to sell a game that he found for a price that you decide is fair.

To make this less opaque for you, dude's a jagov who's been largely shunned over devious behavior in the community and has never apologized or taken any shred of accountability, just torches bridge after bridge after making a buck. Your mileage may vary.

That's fine but your story was that this guy got a great deal on a QS and then didn't sell it to a guy that was also looking for one for a price you decide is fair. That's dumb and irrelevant to this thread. He bought the pin. It's his. He can do with it whatever the hell he wants to. Doesn't have to sell it because your buddy is trying to complete a Stern collection. Jesus.

What’s irrelevant is your involvement in this thread at all.
All you do is float around pinside like a bug, pollinating your negative opposition and two cents. For once in your life try minding your own business,
and keep the change.

More to the story but when someone calls you their friend and all they do is try to make a buck off you it says a lot about their character.
