Is this price in American dollars or some exchange rate I'm not familiar with?

#4 5 years ago

So, are you getting 3 games for that price? 3 box pics...

That's what I was thinking. This hobby is insane.

At least it's OIB (old in box) that's a new one

HUO AvatarLE would ordinarily fetch $6.5K - $7K on a good day. Could NIB command as much as $8.5K? It seems unlikely, but perhaps. Add fully $1K more for this machine to ship it you in the States from Europe. I wish the seller a quick sale, but the buyer will have be to a *very* eager Avatar fan in Europe. Are they there? Perhaps. Avatar is one heck of a movie!

GLWTS!

I'll offer $5K

I can't see this being worth the same as nib AFM LE + Avatar pro

Not a chance, but maybe $6k. We’re talking a $13k Avatar LE.

It’s a great underrated game though.

We must remember that the seller is overseas and this may be the known prices over there. I have purchased from this pinsider and had no issues and item was as pictured and described.

Not even that, my LE is perfect except for a small blemish on the cab and came with upgraded speakers and it was only $4750 2 years ago. This game went up $$1250 since then? But seller is in Europe so prices are probably different over there.

I dunno guys, if its NIB it has to be imamculate

No I don’t think so. There was one huo for sale on german forum. Sold for 5500€.
If he manages to sell it at that price so he was right. Overseas doesn’t mean we have more money or are unaware.
Overseas means the market (Nib and then second hand) is more expensive coz of shipping and 20% TVA but I guess less sales volume than US.

#17 5 years ago

Hahaha this wont sell in Europe.

Prices maybe different in Europe ( stern Le"s are often priced higher than in the Us) but this is just hilarious.

#18 5 years ago

oib??
is it re-boxed or something?
seller price is a little high!

It's a REALLY old box, vintage man!

Why does the box say Premium instead of LE?

Wow! I missed that in the pics. Did they ever make a premium?

#24 5 years ago

Price aside, Avatar LE seems to have pretty good (recent) reviews on Pinside for a game that I've often heard dismissed as "Avaturd". I know that Martin on Head2Head is a big fan and from what I saw of his recent stream of one, it looked like fun to play.

Just sayin'.

Still ... $12,900. Plus overseas shipping. Yikes!

Good luck (sincerely) on the sale seller.

#25 5 years ago

It is fun, I’d like it but (imo) it’s redundant since I have Tron / IM that cover this era better.

It’s one ramp game that some don’t like, unflattering movie clip animation as was normal at the time.

I’d really buy one for a good price but this isn’t a good price.

Just being nib is not worth more than $500-1K.

Seller is smoking crack

I consider myself a BIG fan of this pin, I brought a NIB LE from Germany, 2 years ago and it was half this price and even then I felt it was a little steep but I wanted it enough to pay the price at the time and drive 26hours there and back to pick it up, but there is no way I’d pay 12k for this game.

#27 5 years ago
Quoted from cpr9999:

Why does the box say Premium instead of LE?

That’s what the LE boxes said before Stern invented the 3 tier thing. Premium/LE was the same thing. Avatar was the first LE with different features & code, followed by Rolling Stones & Tron. Transformers had “Combo LE” and 2 “Designer LEs” (Autobot & Decepticon). AC/DC was then the first game to have a Premium edition that was unlimited in addition to LEs that had the same features/code but different art/trim.
