For sale: Attack from Mars (Bally, 1995)

Added: June 1st, 2016 Ended: June 4th, 2016
Condition: Used - shows wear but 100% working and clean

Item description

First, I am new to Pinside and do not know that much about pinball machines. My wife and I were out at Dave and Busters one night 15 years ago and played this pinball and became addicted. So I bought this for us. I am the 3rd owner. Looks like it has seen some arcade use.

It is 100% original with no modifications, replacement parts or touchups of any kind. It works perfectly and I believe is in decent shape. I wasn't sure of what to take pics of but if you are interested and let me know what is important to you, I will take more pics.

Several issues I know of, and pics are included. One of the little green plastic squares under the upper left martian is broken, as is a red plastic piece directly below the same martian. The right side cabinet is a bit faded. And the back glass appears to be contacting the graphic underneath. Not sure what is going on there. I've never opened this machine up.

It hasn't gotten much play last 5 years and just sits covered. I would greatly prefer if someone could pick up rather than shipping.

Someone will be happy with this but to far away for me.

#3 3 years ago

Very fairly priced. Someone should grab this. A light shop out, cliffy at the SOL and and few plastics and it will look and play really nice.

#4 3 years ago

Hmm... Right up the road but i have little cash at the moment

#5 3 years ago

Great deal looking to put a pin back in the house .

#6 3 years ago

Looks pretty nice. Since you never opened it up I hope there isn't any battery damage to the boards. Very nice example! GLWS.

#7 3 years ago

I didn't realize it had batteries! I'll see if I can take a pic.

#9 3 years ago

This should sell fairly quickly if it is working condition.

#10 3 years ago

One of the batteries had started to leak but didn't reach the board. Cleaned up with contact cleaner and new batteries. Here's a couple more pics now that I've looked inside. Manufacture date on back is May 1996.

Pm sent

I would buy it if I was local. The acid did get on the board a little right underneath the holder, but that should clean up easy.

#13 3 years ago

True...does look like a little damage on that main board.

#14 3 years ago

is that battery acid on the screw below the holder? it looks like some kind of acid or calcium build up?

#15 3 years ago

Looks like the game is sold so it don't matter.

LOL @ the AFMr threat having any effect whatsover on AFM's desireability.

#16 3 years ago

Congrats on the sale! Good price on the machine.

#17 3 years ago

Acid whatever. Good looking game at a fair price. Congrats to all.

#18 3 years ago

Wow, what a great game for a very fair price. Congrats to whoever the new owner is!

#19 3 years ago

For anyone who is interested in tracking prices, I sold it for $6k cash, local pickup. I had people tell me I was leaving money on the table, but I just wanted it to be a good, hassle free deal for both sides. Thank you all you pinball experts for your thoughts in this thread!
