Game - for sale

For sale: Attack from Mars (Bally, 1995)

Added: 2016-05-07 11:55:46 UTC • Ended: May 8th, 2016
Condition: Used - shows wear but 100% working and clean

Price

$ 6,500

Attack From Mars Pinball, works perfectly. $6500.

Clean Players Condition.
It has wear on the playfield by the inserts, it has wear on the scoop, covered by a Cliffy. It has dents on the side rails where the box obviously fell at one point. It has some areas of black paint along the backbox corners where someone touched it up.
It works great. No wear or fade on the cabinet.

I would consider trading locally.

If interested, PM me with your name and cell #. I'll text you some pics or a video.

Is that playfield/insert wear in the close up picture of the scoop?

"excellent condition" Looks like it has bad pf wear there and dented side rails and whats going on with the top of the backbox?

#4 7 years ago

Call it "very good" if you prefer. It does indeed have some wear around the scoop, but the Cliffy helps with that area. The rails are dented, from a previous backbox mishap before I owned it. It works great. I had the Strobe board rebuilt.

I think he was referring to the insets leading to the scoop. Looks like the MA SOL and EB inserts all have wear on them. Same with one of the lock inserts.

#6 7 years ago

Yes, there is some wear there also.

#7 7 years ago

Clean players condition? The wear would bother me too much. Sure it plays great, and it is a great game.

#8 7 years ago

Description should have full disclosure listing both good and bad.

#9 7 years ago

OK, let's call it Clean Players Condition. This sure is fun.

It has wear on the playfield by the inserts, it has wear on the scoop, covered by a Cliffy. It has dents on the side rails where the box obviously fell at one point. It has some areas of black paint along the backbox corners where someone touched it up.

It works great. No wear or fade on the cabinet.

That's all I can think of.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

#10 7 years ago

Yeah, I would need a lot more pics on this. At least some of the boards to see if there are any hack jobs, burn marks or acid damage.

#11 7 years ago

If anyone is interested, I am happy to send detailed pictures and videos of everything.

#12 7 years ago

I've considered the issues raised. I think they are valid. I have decided to lower the price to $6500. Here are some more pics.

Nice updated photo's, best of luck on the sale, AFM is one of my top 5 favorites, I do not think I will ever get to own one again, as they have really gotten pricey, But such a blast to play, and the humor for me never got old.

#15 7 years ago

yeah if you want one of the best games under 7k here you go

Good updated pics I think you'll find a buyer around that price

#16 7 years ago

Aside from the wear spots looks really nice and clean. Would love to own one some day. I'd bite at this price if I was in looking, GLWS.

#17 7 years ago

Great game...someday i will have one bump

I'll be "that guy".

$6500 with visible wood PF damage and drilled lockdown bar holes (or in this case, everything but the lockdown bar itself)?

Really? Has AFM appreciated that much?

Man, maybe there is a market for AFMr after all. It seems like if you go for anything below $8000, there is going to be some "raw" areas...

#20 7 years ago

Just for the record, the most recent auction here in So. Cal a couple weeks ago, a similar AFM (although insert wear not as bad but still there), non dented side rails and a redone cab, went for the highest amount of the 70 or so machines there...$7300 plus 18% buyers fee and tax (if not a reseller).

#21 7 years ago

This makes the afm that sold in Utah a few months ago for $5k with new cabinet art and Mirco Playfield look like an absolute bargain. Prices are getting really stupid out there. Good luck with your sale op.

drilled lockdown bar holes

I'm not seeing the holes in the lockdown bar.

#23 7 years ago

Oh screw it...

I'd still take this well traveled one over a remake. At least I'd know when and what I was getting.

#24 7 years ago
Quoted from o-din:

I was referring to the mounts that are present on each side of the coin door for the lockdown bar.

Sorry for any ambiguity.

I went to the mason dixon auction in PA a few weeks back, and people were paying stupid prices for machines (including myself). I went up there with the intention of picking up Royal Flush for myself and ended up having to drop a grand to get it. I was hoping to pick up a few flip worthy machines, but someone paid 2k+ for a non booting judge dredd, etc.

#26 7 years ago

I can't wait for this remake to be announced!!!! I'm fairly sure it's next....Imagine! Imagine! A NIB AFM!!!!

To be fair, even the buyer of that game said he overpaid buy quite a bit but he needed it for a lucrative photo shoot that would more than pay for the machine...

Sorry for any ambiguity.

They were installed on the factory line back in 1995.

So many AFM's have been restored with new cabinet decals over the years, that seeing one with the original security hasps still installed on each side of the coin door is becoming a rarity.

#30 7 years ago

Those lockbar holes and brackets came that way from the factory, so cab looks nice with bright colors. If a buyer puts in a mirco playfield they'll have a really nice AFM for under 7500.
