Which dictionary are you using to define phenomenal.

I can’t find a matching definition for phenomenal in the Webster or Oxford dictionary that corresponds to your pins condition

If purchased is the loose screw on inlane plastic on this “fully restored” machine included or is tightening that an upcharge?

#3 2 years ago

That playfield (or what little you can see of it from your photos) looks like it could use a cleaning

The decals are all faded.

A few of the inserts appear to be ghosting.

The cliffy protector on the SOL hole appears to be bent up, which usually indicates the hole is blown out and wasn't properly repaired before the cliffy was installed.

This is fairly nice example, but not mint.

#5 2 years ago

Why anyone would trade a remake LE for a faded original is beyond my understanding, never mind the rest of the obvious reasons to rather have a 4 yr old game vs 26 yr old

Quoted from PinballGalore:

I would rather have the original myself condition being equal

#7 2 years ago

Looks like a coin door lock bar hole was poorly filled in to the right of the coin door too.

I liek hi gh priced games w no playfield pics - adds a bit of mystery to the purchase.

#8 2 years ago

If it was anyone else making it other than CGC I would prob too, but damn they’re Good at what they do

#9 2 years ago

A mint AFMr LE might go for that price (or a nicely restored AFM), but as others have pointed out I think you may have set you expectations a little high based on condition. I think $8 to $10K is what the market may bare if you can find the right buyer.

#10 2 years ago

Always wondered how people determine how many coats of clearcoat to apply. Why 5? Why not 3...or 10?

#11 2 years ago

An original should definitely fetch more than a re-make just as a real Ferrari is worth more than a rebadge. That said, if AFMs are going for $14000 I think a lot of nicer originals would be for sale.

#12 2 years ago

Clearly you're completely delusional, and probably haven't had any success selling a game.

Is this a joke? I’m serious? is it! Am I getting punked?

#15 2 years ago

As an original owner, GLWS, hope it sells for more, makes mine worth $20K, any other platitudes of price pumping that I didnt think of...!

#17 2 years ago

THe AFM remake is by far the worst playing of the remakes.

WHomever gets to make this trade is getting a deal!

Yep, it's a clunkfest. I bought my original about a year ago after playing the remake. No comparison

#19 2 years ago

Haha its the Pinbot guy

#20 2 years ago

Katmanzu read my words carefully. Please. Pay attention. You need to add some pics to your listing if you have any desire to get some interest in selling this game. Take a pic of the MPU. Is there any acid damage? Take a dozen pics of the PF with the GLASS OFF and good lighting particularly showing high traffic areas (shooter lane, in lanes, Stroke of Luck scoop). Take a pic of the bottom side of the PF, and as indicated by another member, show the condition of the area around the scoop. How blown out was it before the cliffy was added. Take pics of the inside of the cabinet. How were the lock bar holes filled?

I’m not talking shit or trying to be an asshole when I say this, but your asking prices for your AFM and Pinbot aren’t going to happen. Pinball prices are insane right now, but not where you’re at. Sure, some AFM’s bring $14k and there’s a handful of Pinbots worth $9k, but yours aren’t unfortunately. A clear coated PF does add some value, but not as much as the clear coat costs, and many people (myself included) have great disdain for many cleared PFs because often times the play like junk afterwards.

I’m just tryin to share some insight. I’ve been in pinball all my life. Seriously, all my life. Pinball people are…well, we’re just weird as all hell. We’re fickle, trite, often times conceited and can be just plain mean.

This guy rules. Remember he started his Pinside career by calling a guy who has been around here for years a scammer for refusing to sell him a Tron LE?

If it weren't for that "deal," Corroborated by the Tron seller, I'd be positive that this guy is a work.

For years people have always said we "gotta get new people into the hobby." Well we did! And it's glorious.

I didn't realize it was the same guy as the Tron debacle. He's off to a great start.

#23 2 years ago

Have the prices on these spiked this much in the past 2 years? I sold the one I did a full playfield swap and cabinet wrap on for $6400 less than 2 years ago. https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/for-sale-attack-from-mars-50

And the shitty $9000 Pinbot that ignited the birth of a whole new generation of Price Police thinking they invented all the same old price police jokes about coke in the coin box and their game must be worth $30K.

This guy is a 3 threads in and he's already a Pinside legend!

Yes. You gave that game away, even then. DId it sell in 10 minutes?

TOday that's probably worth $12K +.

I usually list my games Monday Afternoons and have them gone over the weekend.

My current Stars for sale is actually the longest for sale pin I've ever had after 2 trade cancellations. Got the next trade coming to me tomorrow for an easy transaction at least.

Edit: And to asnwer your question it took about 4 days to sell.

Actually, looking at my old for sale ads I try to price things reasonably (it's a hobby, not a business) and have given away a few machines apparently. $6200 minty Simpsons with Color DMD, $6,000 TNA, $8200 Medieval Madness. Those all since the start of COVID.

You should just bring that Stars to Allentown.

I thought about it, but I want to leave room in my car to bring the good stuff. I brought Rick and Morty last year to freeplay and want to do so again this year... although I might put it up for sale/trade. Would like to bring AFMr LE or LOTR for freeplay as well.

Stars is now pending sold with a trade tomorrow.

Played a Stars at allentown last year for the first time and loved it...for some reason 2K+ is a hard pill for me to swallow to own one but I'm also a cheap ass...would love one though.

I have found that there is the most interest in stuff from 1985 and newer. Once you get anything older than that the demand goes way down and there are less collectors chasing pins of that vintage. Stars is a ton of fun though. There is a local one near me at Crabtown USA (Glen Burnie Md) that I can play anytime.

If only he had an original High Speed with no legs to sell for the trifecta. Could almost taste the Tron LE at that point.

Yeah, you gave that away if you did a swap with brand new cabinet decals.

#40 2 years ago

Mirror blades, animated saucers... backboard decal, cliffys... color dmd, leds, and the original dmd as a spare.

This guy is on a roll, the 25k tron “scam” thread, that outrageous clown puke Pinbot and now this AFM?? He clearly took his 25k loan, overpaid to hell and is trying to flip some games to make money before the repo men come by lol

Impossible to tell that from the pictures and a description from a seller prone to hyperbole and obvious lies overstating the condition.
