For sale: Atlantis

Added: March 20th, 2017 Ended: April 2nd, 2018
Condition: Fully restored (full original status)

Item description

This is a machine you are never likely to come across in similar condition as it has a restored and clearcoated playfield. I did this purely to try my hand at airbrush and clearcoating. This is not a perfect job, but a good first try for me that I am glad to say I tried to say I can do it.

$2000 OBO, buyer arranges shipping.

The goods:
Playfield was completely covered in mylar upon pickup.
Mylar was removed, and majority of the playfield was frisket stenciled and airbrushed.
ALL INSERTS were re-vectored and re-applied.
Playfield was clearcoated and wet-sanded about 6x over between various coats of paint.
A good 80+ hours into the playfield.
NVRAM installed
Cabinet was recolored, no beauty queen but better than it was when picked up.
New CPR plastics.
New Flipper coil assemblies
LEDs
New charcoal legs
solid cabinet
FAST FAST FAST gameplay

Not so goods:
Cabinet head has decal issues
bottom back of cabinet has peeling black paint
New T-molding needed
some inserts are cold. Needs resolder or replacement sockets
Left flipper sticks, going to try to get this back to great before TPF.
center ball save not working, coil assembly missing 1-2 pieces
some side rail issues

Quoted from CaptainNeo:

I wouldn't say never come across

Never come across "For Sale" Neo. Yours is the reason I decided to try my hand at my own.

Quoted from Leeb18509:

I got $1600 for mine recently but that was new money, first game, super excited buyer money. Not saying this isn't a very nice example but it's an Atlantis. I'm just curious as to why with all the work done on the PF you wouldn't spend $10 for nice new red star posts to shine off that beautiful playfield?

I did order some, but the size was off, miscalculation on my part.

New price... $1850.

I measured them incorrectly, I have some but never got the right size posts in the end.

New price, $2000....
