For sale: Atarians, The

Added: December 28th, 2020 Ended: January 6th, 2021
Condition: Fully shopped/refurbished

Price

$ 1,200

Item description

Located in Brick NJ 08723.

Here is a nice working Atari Atarians. Game is set for free play. Overall really nice shape with some minor flaws.

Playmeter shows just over 3000 plays. Cabinet is in overall very nice shape. Small amount of damage that was repaired in the lower front, paint is not a perfect match. Playfield is really nice. Backglass is great.
Coin door was repainted. New leg levelers installed.

Playfield looks really nice. Was cleaned, polished and waxed. All metal parts polished. All new rubbers installed. All bulbs in playfield replaced with Comet LEDs. Someone used the wrong screws to attach a coil under the playfield and they slightly protruded through on the lower left side (see photos), but they do not affect gameplay.

The MPU and power supply board were just sent out for service. The player 1 and 2 score displays work fine but player 3 and 4 do not(how often do you play a 3 or 4 player game anyway). I have a spare score pcb which I will include in case you are able to fix it.

Price is 1200. I will consider trades for early Bally or Williams solid state games.

First Atari game, first solid state widebody, and first game to use magnetic switches under the playfield. I believe production numbers were low also. It's a great piece of pinball history!

GLWTS!

Quoted from pinball4ever:

First Atari game, first solid state widebody, and first game to use magnetic switches under the playfield.

that explains why i was struggling to identify the switch(es) that registers a hit to that U-Turn in the center!
