Most potential purchasers will probably already know that Dave Sanders was the designer for Alien.

What some of you may not know, or may have missed in the fallout from the collapse, resurrection, then collapse again of Heighway, is that after years of work, Dave was never paid a cent for his work.

All he received were empty promises from Andrew. He would have been entitled to incapacity [and unemployment] benefits had he not been in what was supposed to be paid work. Worse, the conditions he suffers from made him more easy to take advantage of. 'Free' labour was not enough, and Andrew extracted monies from him, supposedly partly to pay others' wages, promising to pay him back. Something he never did.

The state should be helping, but it's complicated, and due to data protection issues, none of the agencies talk to each other - at least not in an effective manner. He should get the help he needs, but it may take a while longer. Until this is all resolved, it's also difficult for the investors / 'Pinball Brothers' to arrange any potential compensation.

He was and is in a very vulnerable position, generally and financially.

$1,990 of the $10,990 will go to Dave. If the purchaser wishes to help more, any further excess will of course also go to him.

Hopefully most of you will agree that this is a worthy cause. Even if there is little prospect of him ever being paid anywhere remotely close to what his work was worth, any respite is helpful.
