Game - for sale

For sale: Airborne Avenger

Added: 2017-04-02 18:56:03 UTC • Ended: April 7th, 2017
Condition: Fully shopped/refurbished

Price

$ 1,000

I'm selling my Atari Airborne Avengers pinball machine. This is Steve Ritchie's first ever pinball design and is a very rare machine to find working. I did a full shop out of the playfield and it looks beautiful. The machine is fully working - even the display which I took apart and did a deep cleaning on the contacts - all segments are bright and clear. This machine has the upgraded flipper kits that Atari issued after people complained that the original flippers were too weak. All coils and switches are working. Backglass looks really nice, but does have a small repair job towards the bottom. In person you can't really see it from the front (see pics). Also includes a reprinted version of the manual/schematic, the prototype version of the "bird head" plastic (grey) and a second apron plastic.

Bump for the Monday crowd.

Quoted from ForceFlow:

FYI, it's not 350 like originally thought. It's approximately (or at least) 3420, according to Atari sales figures that Steve Richie recently provided.

Ah very interesting. Would that make this Atari's most successful pin? I always wondered how they managed to keep their pinball division open for that many years with sales numbers in the sub-500 level.

Anyway, I've updated the ad description
