Game - for sale

For sale: Af-Tor

Added: 2019-07-03 18:19:51 UTC • Ended: July 31st, 2019
Condition: Fully shopped/refurbished

Price

$ 2,500

Considering selling my Af-Tor machine. It's a very uncommon game (rumored production run of 400) and mine is in pretty nice condition.

It was fully shopped recently and 'needs' (in order to play as it should) nothing as it sits.

The 'issues' below are mostly minor but I'm noting them just so there's no confusion:

1) backglass has some lifting in the upper right corner. It is SOLID and I'm sure it could be carefully lifted completely off in the corner and re-applied by a steady hand. I'm not brave enough try it. I do know where a replacement can be sourced if so desired.

2) Some MINOR playfield wear near the right sling

3) several numbers on the center inserts are worn off

4) power toggle switch doesn't always work. Not sure if it can be repaired or if it just needs replaced. My machines all turn on and off together so I haven't bothered to fix it.

It has LEDs throughout and looks fantastic. Only considering selling because there are a few other titles I'm really after and I'm limited on space. I'm hesitant to sell because of how uncommon it is, but my space situation is forcing me to consider my options.

It's a fun pin, and can be deceptively fast at times (at least as far as wide bodies go). I find it to be extraordinarily challenging a lot, with side draining common, or the ball being flung FAST, straight down the middle. Thus, it can be frustrating, especially at first. But it's a unique pin that doesn't pop up a whole lot, especially in this kind of condition and needing nothing.

I'm taking any proceeds from selling and buying a really nice space shuttle or putting it toward a world cup soccer. Those are my top two wants and probably games that will be more popular with my kids. I already have some frustrating games they can play if they want the challenge!
