Item description

Hey everyone. Putting a couple of my pins on the chopping block to help fund the purchase of a Wizard Of Oz. I've been playing TAF for 20 years and now it's time to pass it on for someone else to enjoy. I've had my fun with it. Same for my BTTF. The machines are located in Wichita, KS. If you are interested, hit me up. I'll be posting them in multiple places, so it's first come, first serve. I will be posting details on the BTTF in a separate post because I'm limited on the number of pics I can include on one post.

The Addams Family

Fully working with no known issues. The machine spent some time over in Germany before I got it. It was set for Deutschmarks (the DM on the coin rejects). At some point when it was over there, they drilled a hole in the side (I don't know what for) and installed a plug. It never really bothered me so I didn't do anything about it. I've done just about everything to it that can be without going overboard. It's fully loaded. I installed a full LED kit, fully shopped it (a few years ago but minimal plays since doing so), installed a flipper rebuild kit, installed custom spot lights and eject hole lights, Uncle Fester, Bear Skin Ramp Rug, lots of decals, etc. There is zero magnet burn, minimal playfield wear (to the best of my knowledge), it's been cleaned, waxed, and ready to go. All the boards are in great shape, no physical damage, the battery holder has been replaced with a lithium button cell holder so there's no more worry about corrosion, ColorDMD!, Gold Edition roms, the whole shebang! Asking $5250

Any questions or interest, please let me know. Thank you.

Curious as to what those giant circles/washers are on the side of the game for?

#4 3 years ago

There is some mansion insert wear. Not bad though.

There is an approximate 2" hole on the one side that was put there for some unknown reason. The previous owner didn't know either. I can only speculate that it was some kind of security measure while the machine was overseas. Someone installed a plastic 'cap' on both inside and outside and secured them together with a bolt and nut. It doesn't really take away for the look of the side (in my opinion) so I never did anything about it. I could have just installed a new piece of side art but the repro art wouldn't match the rest of the cabinet, so I left it.

Yeah, there IS a little wear, but it's very minimal. Here are some pics of the 'plug'...

Very interesting. You think someone used it to anchor the machine to something else to prevent it from being stolen or something?
