No offense but with mansion wear around the inserts and scoop wear I'm not seeing 9500.

#3 85 days ago

I like the fact you took pics with the glass off. Has the shooter land been reworked?

#4 85 days ago

No colorDMD or better speakers for 9500? Sheesh

#5 85 days ago

Who reconditioned this game?

Not just the mansion almost all inserts have edge wear, pitting on ramp flaps, ding on the side of the head and the coindoor repaint looks sub par

It sure has. Normally a restorer will sand and reclear so there is still wood grain in the shooter lane. This one looks like it was just sprayed one color that's why no wood grain

first thing I noticed

This is a nice TAF, but not $9500. I think a HEP restored TAF sold for $9500 a couple months ago.

yep, Treasure Cove used to do this and I don't like it.

It was in the 10s but with all due respect to the OP, this is no HEP job

OP never claimed it was a HEP.

Just love thease over priced postings. I think I’m gonna post my players condition bop for 4850 and call it “restored” because I changed the rubbers 10 years ago.

Glws.

Man, some people on here anymore are friggin relentless. That post is a bit extreme. This isn’t a player’s condition game, and much more has been done to it than just replacing the rubbers.

Even though it’s overpriced, it’s still a very nice TAF with a few issues. And it is OBO.

Where would you price it?

“Adams family completely restored “

^^^^^^ that’s a bit extreme my friend!

Peace out Cub Scout

Honestly, I'd think it should be clearcoated for that price.

I agree with that. Not saying the description shouldn’t be changed a little (along with the $), but this is clearly not a POS game that’s listed for an exorbitant price.

I asked MJM what he thought would be a fair price, but he failed to post one.

There’s a lot of ridiculously priced games right now, and always some on eBay. All I’m saying is if you don’t like the price, and you want the game, offer them what you think is reasonable and go from there.

Ok I’ll post one, but I gotta ask, since when is one of the most mass produced pins of all time a 10k pin like an original mm or cc?

7500! And I’m being nice

#21 84 days ago

First of all God bless America and capitalism! This guy is a retailer not an "average Joe". He's better off NOT posting here and sticking to eBay and Craigslist to find a person who is (unknowingly) happy to pay the exorbitant asking price. Would like to say nice job for the excellent pictures taken. This is definitely above players condition but also definitely below collector quality because it's not (as you advertised) completely restored. This is a super nice "refurbished" machine. Someone went out of their way to putty and paint the normal wear spots - evidence is the chair hole is already starting to wear and the ramp flaps are old and rusted. Complete restore means everything looks and works like brand spanking new my good man. Best of luck on your sale.

#22 84 days ago

$6,500 on a good day, but I wouldn’t pay that.

People have been asking crazy prices for TAF's for a few years now.

Quoted from mjm697:

Ok...now I agree with that, or somewhere between you and mike_j 's assessment.

And that's just keeping in mind that one with a decent amount of PF wear, a display problem and moderate cab issues recently sold on here for $5k or something like that. I don't agree with how much TAF's go for in general anymore, just observing what the recent selling points have been.

Restoration looks pretty good to me, I would just prefer more cleaning of the original parts like the cabinet speaker and transformer. For the coin door i would have done Bryan Kelly's splatter method. It is not as difficult as it looks.

I'm not so sure about that... seems low

#26 84 days ago

I sold my HEP TAF 3 years ago for $9,000. I am not sure what TAF prices have done since that time, but here is my original thread.

Has anybody laughed at a “10k by Christmas!” Post in the last 5 years?

I just saw an AFM listed as restored that had the same thing done to it.

I don't understand why the mansion inserts have wear if the playfield was replaced. Unless it was replaced with another used playfield? The insert wear is definitely more than 500 plays on a new playfield, and it would not qualify as immaculate IMO. Every mansion insert is worn, and the scoop was repaired and painted wood color, which has some of the paint chipped off.

#32 84 days ago

wtf is it with these prices

#33 84 days ago

Is there a warranty? This isn’t a private seller; might make the price make more sense
