Street price is much different than MSRP. If you have a good relationship with a distributor the cost was under $7K for sure. I know quite a few people that got Metallica LE (Master of Puppets) for $6600, and that game came out after ACDC.

The code was crap on Metallica for a while. I think the LE price suffered because of that. Was there widespread criticism of early AC/DC code?

My friends bought when the game was announced at that price before anyone even got a chance to play it!-this was before Stern implemented any sort of pricing floor.

But yes, the Met code was crap at the beginning as was ACDC and TWD. All 3 are now Lyman masterpieces though!
