Item description

Listing my 3 Coins for sale. Game appears to be working fine (just went over it again this weekend to deal with some hiccups relating to the ball release).

Player's quality. You can see from the photos that there is wear on the playfield (near the top in particular). The shooter lane was damaged, and I patched it with some epoxy putty (see the close-up image for details).

Backglass has flaking and some fairly large patches missing (particularly near the top-left).

Not shown in the photos is I added an eye-hook screw beneath the ball release mechanism and a rubber band to pull that closed when the solenoid is no longer energized (looks like a torsion spring was to do that job originally). I took the photos before I put that fix in yesterday.

$400. Thanks for looking!

You might be surprised but this is one of my grail pins. They don't come up around here in any condition and yours looks pretty nice.

I've seen you list fairly eclectic support for a lot of EMs (at least so it seems to a simple lurker like me), so I'm not too surprised.

I was surprised how good the playfield was when I got it, besides the shooter lane of course (it was mostly just really dirty). If I remember correctly, the homeowner bought it from a neighbor, so it spent a lot of time sitting in some game rooms. But, the counter in the machine I believe reads over 57,000 plays.

Sadly, I just couldn't get into it. Probably too hard for me. It is my highest rated (whatever that means) EM on IPDB (my other two are a Skylab and a Score-board). But, I never play this one so it might as well move on to someone who will actually appreciate it!

I love the 60s Williams and this one came up when I was looking for one the year I was born. 3 Coins was released the month I was born. I think I have maybe three games from 1962 now but have never had the pleasure to play this one. If it was closer I would come and take a look. I think it's a neat looking game.

I'm close, but unfortunately I'm also out of room, otherwise I would be completely interested. Good luck with it.

Yours looks very nice, Much nicer than the one I heard about, which had extensive water damage from being left in a fountain. I'm sure you've all heard of that game...

Ah yes, the Jean Negulesco version.

Nice looking game Dennis! Hope someone buys it soon so I don't have to make a 3 hour road trip!

I get queries on it but ultimately no takers yet!

I played 3 coins when it was new in a local amusement park arcade in 1962. Compared to others games in the arcade (picnic, Williams reserve, kismet, freedom 7, big casino, and others), three coins always took my nickels and dimes much faster than the others. It was a pretty tough playing game to me.
