Item description

I have for sale a 1989 Police Force Prototype. This machine is in excellent condition and registered with the IPDB. It is 1 of 12 prototypes made and the only known surviving one publicly. It has all brand new LEDs in it, brand new ramps (Saved the old ones since they are original and have hand cuts in them). The machine does have red boards in it as well as the “x” in the serial number that match all through the machine. Plays wonderfully and has a clear insert to protect the playfield. Serious inquires only.

GLWS

Looks great just not a 3k. I like it.

#7 6 years ago

There’s one on eBay for almost 4K and it’s not a prototype. Still available.

#8 6 years ago

Very nice survivor! A true collector, that only purchases mint & rare examples of all titles would appreciate having this. They are out there just have some patience. I also have a mint HUO Police Force, i would rather keep than giving it away.

And that's where it will sit, just like yours! you can put lipstick on a pig,but it's still a pig!

Sorry couldn't resist. Glws,

... I see what you did there

#11 6 years ago

I still think it’s a fair starting asking price for a pretty cherry prototype. No need for price Police here (pun intended)

Really man? C'mon. Youre not THAT new to the world of pinball, are ya?

I love police force. Good, simple game. But normally they sell for around 1200. One that is prototype is cool, but I just don't see it selling for much more than 2k.

#13 6 years ago

3k isn’t much more than 2k, it’s negotiable ... unless you are just price policing something that’s never come up for sale before

#14 6 years ago

It has new NOS displays, 2 brand ramps, upgraded to all LEDs, new rubber, new balls, new factory battery holder, rebuilt flippers, and installed a new clear playfield protector on the playfield so that you can play it with little fear of damaging the playfield. Everything 100% works like a champ!

It’s 50% more. It’s a lot more. 2k and it will sell.

No prototype ramps no deal

#17 6 years ago

I saved the original ramps if you want to put them back in

#18 6 years ago

Is that 2k a offer or a guess?

#19 6 years ago

Looks like you may want to put the ramp entrance switch back on. It's hanging off in the pics.

#20 6 years ago

Good eyes, it’s on there. The other pics show it on there.

Both?

Ebay prices aren't real. Look at actual sold listings instead. Anybody can put any price they want on a listing--it doesn't mean they will get it.

Still availabile

Most games, when priced right, usually sell pretty quickly. Holding to the same price for a long period of time with no serious buyers should indicate that something is amiss.

It's true that it's hard to put a price on something special that hasn't surfaced before. I've gone through that with a few games I've sold. Basically, you have to try to find something reasonable comparable and start there, and then jump at a good offer or slowly lower the price until someone considers it a good deal.

There is some mild interest in the game, and it is an interesting example, but the price people would be willing to pay and the price you want for it haven't intersected yet.

Have you thought about possible trades instead?
