PS--train & garbage truck design services also available.

    Quoted from lordloss:

    Pinball train? Or normal train?

Pretty sure they're normal trains. Hard to tell. Artistic license & such.

    Garbage trucks atop, trains below:

Today's pinball machine design--looks another 6-flipper table with 5-ball multiball--note the correct placement of the flipper buttons, detailed plunger, accurate shooter lane, & all 4 cabinet legs sticking out the bottom, not to mention the isometric depth of the backbox--brilliant (not to mention that it's dated tomorrow--he appears to have mastered time travel as well as pinball machine design):

At the train station/comic shop/arcade last month:

He still has some extra bandwidth to take on some more design jobs--sign up before he's booked!

    Quoted from chas10e:

not sure if you heard of this thing or not .... https://www.pinbox3000.com/
might also be a good idea to crawl under your tables and see if there's any decorations there

Pinbox 3000 = an amazing kit! We finished building the kit Saturday. Even with only an empty playfield & 2 gobble holes at the back corners, it's a blast. The flippers are stout, the whole combination of the marbles for balls, flippers, playfield angle, playfield size, etc. just *feels* really nice. It feels much nicer than I thought it would. Good balance with the geometry & dynamics & such.
Added bonus: the kit comes with 2 extra cardboard panels to build a whole separate playfield/flippers/shooter rod, so you can get 2 different games into the same cabinet! Just like a SWEP1 & RFM swap. :]

Anyway, Train Pinball is well underway.

Need to move this to a custom project thread or something...

That's really great! I love the train tunnel!

Mac & cheese boxes cut down to train car size! :]

Study time with Alex now includes pinball math: sketch up a machine with points assigned to targets, have him trace the ball & add up the score. Tricked into doing arithmetic!

Alexander will be 5 soon. Birthday gift: a whole lotta LEGO DUPLO train stuff!

Gameplay footage, so you can see how deep the modes are & how fast the flow is:

    Bonus designs:

This weekend's pinball math exercise: Signs (which looks like one of those stumpy kiddie Gottliebs). I got carried away & spent too much time coloring something that was just going to get scribbled on...

...but not as much time as I spent on the epic Steam machine from June.

If anybody needs help with their color-by-numbers, Alex is also available on a consulting basis, with very reasonable hourly rates.
