Saw this ad for sale...........somebody should jump on this
seattle.craigslist.org link

#2 11 years ago

I wouldn't buy it for $650. I'm not even positive I'd take one.

#3 11 years ago

I'd take one delivered for 300 bucks!

#4 11 years ago

way to ruin somebody's deal by posting to the forum! (kidding)

#5 11 years ago

definitely one of those machines i'd love to get if i was crazy rich just to have one of the most maligned pins ever.

#6 11 years ago

I found out long ago it's a long way down the holiday road.

#7 11 years ago

I buy it if it was closer.

I'd take it to every show.

#8 11 years ago

played this title at expo........
I hope they are paying you $650 to take it away

Is this sarcasm?

It might help if you said "Bazinga!" after, you know.....

#10 11 years ago

Never knew this thing existed.

No, I'd buy it if I saw it that cheap.

We are talking about one of the most feared pinball machines of all time.

Designed by John Trudeau and Steve Kordek (I believe his last game before he died) art by Paul Faris (the guy who did Xenon and Centaur ).

Williams parts for easy servicing.

EVERYBODY has a TZ or a TAF....Who has the balls to own a VA?

If it had a DMD, I think it would still be terrible.

Gun to your head. Must keep for a year, play ten times a day.

A) Vacation America for $500
B) The Pin for $3307.35

#15 11 years ago

does it take coins.... or just a home version

Pull the trigger

Home version/use only. No coin mech or coin switch.

#18 11 years ago

Jack played this one, but I'm not sure if he liked it nor do I recall that he was selling it.

#19 11 years ago

I'm new here... Why is this a bad machine?

#20 11 years ago

when I saw the thread title I thought a HUO "The Pin" was on CL

That VA is strange - check out under the playfield...

That's an interesting concept, using PCB's almost exclusively under the playfield. Anybody have thoughts if this could have caught on? Sure looks to save on wiring.

#22 11 years ago

It would seem to make for much faster assembly and much less (none at all?) chance of wiring error.

#23 11 years ago

i would think it would greatly reduce your per unit cost too. The labor on looming those wires is pretty intense.

#24 11 years ago

It would make a nice sho ho.

The Bally home-use Fireball (and I assume the others) were the same thing... larger PCB's with the switches & lamps all pre-installed. And the coils were all quick connect lug wires too.

#26 11 years ago

A friend emailed the seller but has not heard back yet. I hope my friend can get it because I intend on photographing everything in it and writing more repair information to add to pinwiki on this machine.

Stern has one of these in the DEV area of the factory. They are trying to emulate this themselves. The idea i was told was to run with as few of wires as possible. Last time i saw it it was next to acdc le/prem whitewood machine.

I haven't played one, but apparently the game play is awful.

#29 11 years ago

don't buy without playing, you'd be disappointed unless you don't know what a real machine plays like

#30 11 years ago

wow!!!!! a machine worth less than a popeye or hurricane, i did not know such a thing existed ??

#31 11 years ago

It's still listed. Sure wish I had it.

#32 11 years ago

I'd like to see a gameplay video, but haven't ever seen one. I don't doubt the opinions, but I'd like to see this since I'll likely not find one to try out for myself.

#33 11 years ago

I'll overpay for the new ghetto TF before I underpay for this.

#34 10 years ago

is the gameplay THAT bad on this game?

#35 10 years ago

how did you even FIND this thread? haha

#36 10 years ago

I don't remember but I was looking at ohhh Tradoeu? pins as he is to design the mustang one.

#37 10 years ago

That's what the new MMr is going to look like underneath.

#38 10 years ago

New MMR looks even better underneath. More like WOz or ac/dc.

#39 10 years ago

$650? Hell.... there's one FS down the road from me that's at $2k! ~SpOoKy

#40 10 years ago

There is one near me for sale for over a year on and off for 1500...........
