Awesome. Thanks for posting! Added to the click file.

Quoted from Da-Shaker:

Hopefully you read my earlier post. I thought my spinner opto was bad, but it wasn't the opto causing the problem. The black/white wire was disconnected at the right Overlord target, causing the spinner not registering. The black/white wire is daisy chained to other switches.

The left arm on my spinner physically separated. Defective spinner. My issue is different.

Looks great! I thought about doing the same with the Ka-Foom plastic. Plenty of room in there for a LED.

Buddy got a call that his premium has been delayed. Apparently Stern took the concept of JIT inventory and elevated it to it to AWH (As we have) inventory. Shocking they have lasted this long. Can you imagine how efficient we could make them with some business process reengineering.

Can you post a pic of your Power Distribution board, so I can add it to the click file?
Foo Fighters is in the top 3 hottest flipper peak temps in a 2 hour test, likely because there's no rest point (pop bumpers, etc) for the ball, the flippers are constantly flipping. SW and TMNT are some of the lowest peak flipper temps in my testing, so that's not a surprise. I've posted the chart below.[quoted image]

Is this the correct one?

I think I have it mostly adjusted, but see how it settles. Overdrive post was way too high out of the box, and the shim on the apron didn't work. Taking it out and bending it slightly fixed it though. Still haven't gotten more than 100M on it, but I have a ton of time to get better at it now. Looking forward to seeing what more updates add to it.

Quoted from aflamesfan:

Yep, that's the one. It's a little tight (nice to have more of the whole board in case there's some other point of interest, so I can look back at all the boards in the future), but it'll do. You're in the click file.

Yeah at 4ohm that matches the speakers, its just not great. Looks like a Pinwoofer kit is definitely needed.

If you just change it to 4, it’s gonna sound shitty. If you tweak some of the other settings, you can get it to sound great.

Here are the settings for my Rush LE. I’ve got them on my Foo LE & it’s pretty good. I might tweak a bit further…but this is a good baseline that’ll sound much better than just switching to 4ohm.

Someone else posted one that looked like that. After examining it, I'm pretty sure it's due to the angle of the shot and lighting. That leg on the end of the capacitor is reflecting light so it looks like there's a gap, but it's not a gap.

#4027 11 months ago

Unlikely the SMD cap solder cause of clicks.

Sounds like excessive load or poor earth perhaps ?

Quoted from KSUWildcatFan:

Man, I must be in the minority because I think LOTR is overrated as all hell. I dumped mine to fully fund my Foo Premium and I think it was a tremendous trade-up. Don't get me wrong, LOTR is "fine" and there's plenty of 'story' to explore with it, but I don't think it's one of the greatest games of all time, by a long shot. Good game, not a $9000+ game, IMO. Hard to say where Foo ends up in the long run but damn it's got some smooth shots to it. I could see it being every bit as enjoyable as my Metallica premium when the code is all finished up. That said, you know what they say about opinions, and mine aren't any different in that regard.

I sold my titsed-out LotR and bought an ALIEN LV..best swap I ever did. (and I never thought I'd sell LotR, but since I now have MMLE, I have my medieval fix Out of the 23 machines I have, GZ ranks 1, Alien LV #2 and Foo is currently at #3. having different opinions on different machines is the spice of life; if we all had the same opinion, then it would be an awful waste of space' ...

Im with you .I’m at 1)GZ 2)FOO 3)IMDN 4)Alien 5)MET . FOO is a serious contender and I believe after polished ,will rip the number 1 spot from GZ . IMO ,Alien is the most underrated game right now and only suffers from early reports on problems and the whole HW fiasco .PB has straightened that ship long ago and although Queen wasn’t for me , I’m really , really exited about they’re next theme because I have feeling I know what it is and people are going to flip if I’m correct .The thing that most impresses me about Foo is the balance of easy/hard shots ,coupled with a easy to understand rule set makes for a game that’s both rewarding and punishing at the same time if that makes sense .With all that this game has in it , I’m expecting multiple pinball moments upcoming to add to the ones that are present right now .It’s going to be a great summer with this pin at the helm

I'm pretty heavy on SEI Stern love these days (Stars, Seawitch, Meteor -- with Ali and Quicksilver coming) but as far as moderns go I'm pretty happy with Tron/Metallica/Foo. GZ, didn't really do much for me, but it's a neat game. I'm not a great pinball player and I seem to gravitate toward "flow" games I think. Super-deep, convoluted games stress me out.

You seem to like some challenging games for "not a great pinball player" I have Tron/MET/Foo and they are all tough shooting, fairly short play games. I also have GZ and don't play it nearly as often as Tron/MET/Foo...the game times are just too long (and I find the rules tedious). The Foo rules seem to strike a nice balance...really a refreshing change of pace. Can't wait for more code updates to see where they go with it.

Based on the Expression Light show that's already in the machine, there should be some epic voice-over / callout / shaker integration stuff coming. The EL's really magnify the moment thing, it just feels funky right now because unless you look at the screen, some of them just kinda happen. Should be fun when it comes together.

Hard to choose what chooses you, I guess. Stars is hard AF for what it is (doesn't help that my stars targets need cleaned because they don't always trigger, and my spinners could both spin better than they do). Meteor, Seawitch, and Quicksilver I seem pretty okay at. Ali..I have no idea, I haven't played it yet. Tron is definitely a hard game (but I love the music/SFX/intellectual property), Metallica is one of my favorite bands of all time and an awesome game, and I'm decently okay at it, and Foo.. I dunno how good I am or will be, but I'm wildly impressed with gameplay thus far. I only got 25 or so games on it before my spinner blew up (it actually blew up at 16, I 'fixed' it and limped along a few more games until deciding it truly was done for/powered it off about a week and a half ago). First game was 116.XX mil. But I've not posted any really great scores just yet. New spinner from PBL arrives tomorrow so hopefully that gets me playing for a good long while before any additional hiccups.

I put several games on my buddy's GZ when I was last in OKC and I just didn't love it. Granted, I had no idea what I was doing and I'm not a fan of the theme, but it just didn't do much for me. I'm typically a pretty quick judge of games but generally speaking most games don't 'grow' on me. If I don't like them after 3-5 plays, it's unlikely that I'm going to ever like them all that much. And I don't like having to "learn" a game just to kind of/sort of start enjoying it--maybe. That's just not how I play. I pick up what I pick up as I go along and that's good enough for me to enjoy playing them.

Games like the ones I mentioned all immediately clicked for me and I never had to work through any sort of frustrations with them.

Not my experience after years of doing business with them. They raised their prices on some LEs when people were flipping them for thousands more still in the box. It's a tough business decision when people aren't frequent customers just want to buy to flip to the same person you could just sell it to but for 3k more.

Yeah I remember being blown away by Rush and LZ updates to the EL .I’m forgetting the coders name now , But I believe it’s the same guy for all the EL’s and he does fantastic work as I’ve owned both LZ and Rush with them and seen the progression from launch .Seizure lights is still my all time favorite pinball moment next to Sparky .I’m hoping FOOs “abduction” lights overcome those moments .It’s pretty cool as is right now .

Warranty replacement is on order, but I'm tired of waiting. Still no word of anything shipping, it was ordered May 8th (I thought it was much more recent, now I'm even more annoyed). Since I needed to place a PBL order anyway, I said hell with it and paid the $25 to have one now. I'll throw the warranty replacement in the coin box in case I ever need to replace it again (hopefully not). Super annoyed to still be waiting, with a NIB game sitting unusable, but I suppose that's how it goes.

Yeah, it sucks that Stern support is so random/lame. I've had the main CPU board die after the first 30 games and Stern took their sweet time getting me a replacement. In your case, it's an extremely cheap part that I can't imagine is back ordered (since PBL has it). Don't know why they can't seem to improve on some of the basics of running a business. If they had more real competition, I guess things might change. Oh well...sorry to hear about the frustration...I've been there!

This is where being a poor dude who can't afford NIB games isn't always a bad thing. lol

I'm pretty annoyed with how they decided to combine the spinner and guide rail which I feel makes it far more of a hassle to swap out, but it is what it is. In 3 months time this will be but a distant memory. Or, at least, that's what I'm telling myself right now.

Interesting that I had a similar experience with a Mando LE ordered thru them. Very disappointed in the business practice I experienced as a repeat customer, who is no longer.

You can’t screw people and not have it catch up with you Operation Pinball. Not an isolated situation.
