Update on my playfield:
Bad news. Stern has decided my artwork is fine, and I don't need a playfield replacement. It breaks my heart, the game looks really bad to me and to my wife who is a designer/artist. We bought this pin as we are bigger fans of Jack Danger and Zombie Yeti than the Foo Fighters. My last post I was pretty positive, and I told my distro I was fine waiting a few months for things to be fixed. Sadly, Stern has other plans. I was offered a full refund, but nothing to fix it. A full refund won't replace the few hundred I dropped in mods, nor will it be enough to get me a used Foo LE on the used market. I feel like I have to get rid of it, as it is aggravating to look at even though the game is straight bananas fun. This would also be the 3rd Stern deliver in a row that has been offered a refund or a replacement. One was broke/cracked, one was so bad the distro tech spent 7 hours trying to fix it only to give up. Now this printing issue.
I want to be positive, so I will say, everything else on this machine is perfect. Love the flow, translite, animations, ect. I am having fun, but I am worried about selling it in the future. Ive had some friends over who occasionally buy my machines and none of them said they would buy mine due to the poor printing - especially since it's an LE.
To me, and to my wife, the game looks worse in person than pics can show. I have looked at a few FF on location. They all look great! The easiest way to tell is Dave Grohl's hair. It's missing that white highlight. Also... the lines are not clean, and it's super distracting to me (I understand some are fine with whatever, not hating if you don't care. I would love to feel that way)
Top pic is mine, bottom is a location machine. I need to figure out what to do, and if I should buy Stern machines after 3 in a row are return worthy. I posted other pics before, most of the playfield looks this bad, it's not just Dave's face. Sucks to drop 13k and feel disrespected. My distro is awesome, and has been communicating with me on it, but it's Stern's call, not his. He thinks it looks bad too, obviously.
