That’s what I thought. So I figure when you setup a new machine, the baggie in the coin box come with seven balls?

Quoted from EtzEtz:That’s what I thought. So I figure when you setup a new machine, the baggie in the coin box come with seven balls?
It comes with 6 in the coin box. The captive ball is already in the game.
This isn't specific to FF, but my shaker motor has already started having this low volume, but high pitch squeal when it is winding down slowly. I have tried 3 in1 oil, that helped for about half a game. Anyone know the trick to stop the annoying squeal??

No, 6.
The captive ball up top is not a ball, it's a bash toy. Doesn't count anywhere anyone refers to balls on the play field.
Quoted from heyitsjoebob:No, 6.

Whether it’s called a ball or a bash toy, I’d still recommend switching it out cause for whatever reason the balls that come stock from stern have always been trash in my experience
Got notice from my distro yesterday that payment was due and that my Premium was "ready to ship from Stern". Very nice surprise, I must say!

Shaker squeaks annoy me too. I've tried everything.....spraying contact cleaner, running motors in alcohol to super clean them, lubricating with silicone, gun oil, etc.....I haven't been able to "fix" a shaker once it squeaks (and brand new ones can squeak). From what I understand....its just the sealed ball bearings ..which...since sealed....we can't lubricate if they start squeaking. So, I've either lived with it, or just bought replacement motors and switched them out (which isnt hard to do).
Quoted from onemilemore:Just realized that a neon green powerball might look cool as a replacement for the captive ball, similar to what people did for Ghostbusters.

PinMonk showed a pic with a green ball already. Looked good!

Yeah, I used the neon green one mezelmods sell and it looks right at home there. Better than the steel one for this theme, IMO.
For prem le you can’t get to ball unless you take the upper playfield out. Anyone do it yet? Is it difficult? Simpsons was kind of easy.
Quoted from OSUBuckeye98:R+L just confirmed Wednesday delivery for my LE..woohoo!
who's the distributor?
Quoted from beltking:For prem le you can’t get to ball unless you take the upper playfield out. Anyone do it yet? Is it difficult? Simpsons was kind of easy.
If you just take off the screw in the center of the loop, there's just enough flex in the plastic to carefully get the ball in there out and drop a new one in. It's not *easy* but it's much faster.

Has anyone tried one of these or know how it works in terms of reducing shaker squeaks?

Yeah this is sweet. Any other spots that sell these besides Mezel? They appear to be out of stock.

What the heck? At first I thought that was a april fools joke or something...but its a real product! I wonder what it actually does to eliminate shaker squeak though? (and so cheap!)
Too bad just for stern spike though...I've had squeak on other manufacturers like CGC...
Quoted from marksf123:I like the wizard mods magnetic panel for the game. I have put them on a few games now. Hoping the speaker lights come in this week. Game is great!

Agreed, mine finally came today for my pro. Shipping from Portugal takes longer than I was expecting, but very happy with how it turned out

Okay how the hell is that supposed to work?
Quoted from Doctor6:Okay how the hell is that supposed to work?
It just looks like an adapter to me. I have no idea!
Quoted from DCfoodfreak:Not sure, but must Distributor called a couple of hours ago saying they just took delivery and its shipping out today. So that means they must have still been cranking them out on Friday.
Thanks for sharing
Super happy to see everyone getting and enjoying their games!
This is why Stern is #1. Announce games. Make games. Ship games.

It looks cool, but the Twin in me can't handle that mirror image of area 51 on both sides, lol. Still looks good though!

And no issues. Scooby thread has a lot of issues.

I'm not sure what you mean by mirrored image, but please don't tell me. I don't want to see anything that I can't unsee. Lol.
Quoted from beltking:And no issues. Scooby thread has a lot of issues.
And my Rick and Morty had 2 months of dialing-in and software fixes. I'm still amazed by what Spooky is able to do considering it's a small family business. R&M is still one of my favorite games...it's the total package.
FF has the potential to be one of Stern's best, most brutal games in a long while. I just hope they continue to push on the software...
Quoted from pinballjah:Installed my Pro Overload ship, went with a more purple color. Might add lights to the front area. Thanks @dpadam450!

Quoted from snaroff:The target to the left of the inner ramp takes a pounding and likes to move left. Any pointers to a mod that solves this problem would be appreciated...I know I've seen them over the years but forget who makes them.
Also...what do the lit green inserts signify?

I put these on my TRON, but not sure if they'd work on newer games?

I like the look of the other one that was mentioned, too (link below for convenience).

Mezel is just reselling modmypin.com balls.
You can get them there, but they only sell sets of 4, not singles.
The LE I ordered from Stern directly shipped out and will be here Thursday, so anyone who ordered from them should be getting theirs soon!
Quoted from 1963BSARGS:man…. i need a different distributor.
I don’t think it’s the distributor. There doesn’t seem to be any method to what stern does with the release of the LE’s. My distributor as well as another large one both less than 30 min from Stern have yet to get any LE’s yet. When Led Zeppelin LE’s started dropping I got mine within a day or two. My Rush LE I got a week to 10 days after the first drop. Usually if there are no issues at Stern all the domestic LE’s get into buyers hands within 3 weeks. It gets aggravating seeing them dropping all over the country and no word from the distro you bought from. 3 weeks is a lot better then waiting a month or two for a premium.

Yeah but he was complaining about a lack of communication. No excuse for that.

Ehh. there's something fishy going on. Either way what's one more week

That pic explains a lot. I didn’t realize there was a clear plastic ceiling above it so i assumed the ball boils have to be installed and then removed when you too the playfield.
And yea the colored ball looks quite nice there.
