Confirming, this looks like coil stops? I might have some already. Odd the upper one is doing it too but not showing in the video.

I will say I had a little bounce on my left flipper from the get-go and as custom, I replaced the OEM Stern coil stops pretty much right away with one from my PBL stash, and it did not help at all. Haven't dug into it further yet. (But suppose I'll try another coil stop and maybe check out or just replace the OEM bushing)
Question for you fellow Overlord fighters, I am hosting a local tournament with my LE this weekend. If I switch the game to tournament mode, I assume Toy Time multiball progression turns off? Any other things that are different from standard play?

Randomisation of Mystery awards goes away also... Potentially Extraballs get converted to points
Speaking of extra balls, what are all the ways that get extra ball lit?
I know about the mystery awards lighting extra ball, and it seems like finishing a 2nd city mode will immediately light it. But sometimes extra ball lights and I can’t figure out what triggered it.
Like the ball was bouncing around nowhere near the sonic radio targets and all of a sudden extra ball lights up but I’m not sure why.

One of the Bot awards is an extra ball also...
Quoted from LegoYoda:One of the Bot awards is an extra ball also...
I think that went away with the latest code update. In the new rule sheet there’s now only 3 rotating bot awards….
-Light Misssle ballsave,
-Light super modulator,
-Light bot frenzy
Which is also funny because there’s a game achievement based on the 5th bot award or something that no longer exists, so I guess it is now un-achievable for people new to the game
Nope, it still exists.. i just checked with the glass off.. it's a little janky and not technically a bot award (kinda) but:
4 bots + Collect = Ball save (right lane)
8 Bots + Collect = Super Modulator
10bots = Extra Ball Lights (and you get another at 30 bots bit)
12 Bots + Collect = Bot Fenzy

When the code replaced the light extra ball and bot bonus awards, the scoring changed so every time you collect ANY bot award you get paid off with a Bot Bonus as well (based on number of bots you have). So the achievement is still possibly, actually maybe slightly easier now.
Extra ball was moved to 10 and 30 bots to accommodate this and also to utilize the “number of bots” as a concept more.
Thanks LegoYoda and Theguyoverthere !
That makes great sense now because I saw the EB light go on as the ball rattled into the Chris orbit….I knew I wasn’t near the mystery target and wasn’t finishing city 2. I guess I clipped the bot on the right of the Dave ramp on the way up there, and it happened to be bot 10. Cool deal!
Also cool that the bot award still exists even though it’s not outlined in the rule sheet.
Quoted from rapidflipper:Yes, I actually finished it today. I exported the final STL, and got a perfect model after version 6 (e.g. lots of refinement). It is as large as can fit in the space with room for the rocket and ball path underneath. It goes perfectly on the existing wire form mount and uses the same hardware. I was just waiting to share it until I was finished painting the final print, which is about 50% finished. Here is the work is progress.

The van is great. Unfortunately, I can’t leave well enough alone. I would like to add a light that is always lit, but when the mode is activated and the ball is caught at the van, the entire playfield goes dark, so I don’t see a place I can run a line from. Anyone know where there is an active low voltage on the playfield? Thanks!

And I did design a dummy post for someone if anyone for some reason prefers that! Recommend just sanding the top lightly until it's flush.

Quoted from Brombomb:I don't think I'll ever earn Toy Time MB without a game having a topper connected, and then being lucky enough to hit that specific combo, but man it looks like I'm not the only one...
[quoted image]
You don't need a topper, you can do it!
First step is to learn the shots required for each combo. Play games only focusing on hitting the 6 band member combos & ignore everything else. Have a print out (or written notes) of the shots required if needed. They are in the instant info too if you prefer.
Set yourself some goals: Hit 2 band member combos in each game you play. Then 3, then 4, etc. Build yourself up.
Don't be afraid to have throw away games where you only focus on the band combos you find the hardest. You will find some more difficult than others and practicing them is worthwhile.
Set yourself a progress pace. For example - collect 2 combos on each ball. The more you can collect on the earlier balls, the less pressure you will feel by ball 3. You will probably collect an extra ball in there from missed shots hitting bots, so will have an additional ball spare to collect any combos missing.
As you're progressing, acknowledge your improvement and you will start to believe "Hey, I can actually do this". This helps a lot with focus By this stage, you may only be 1 or 2 band combos off getting all 6 in a game. Keep at it!
Once you're familiar with the shots for each combo and your confidence is up, start to bring completing cities into the pace you set per ball.
By setting a pace to work at, you can quickly judge if you're ahead, on track or behind on the Toy Time and Full Foo goals while training yourself to achieve them
It's a challenge for sure - but you got this!
Quoted from Jesder:Have a print out (or written notes) of the shots required if needed.
I made a nice little printed cheat sheet of the shots required for each band member. I stuck it on the apron under the glass.
While I think it looks nice, I can’t say it’s really helped me any yet. I’m just not at the point where trying to intentionally make a full-foo is on my radar.
I’m making progress on my van model with the model rapidflipper made. I mentioned I was going to use “candy tubes” for the missile cover. These fit almost perfectly, here’s some photos. Still need to cut to the final length. They are only $9 for a pack of them. I’d send them out for free but my cost to ship is the same as it would be for you to cover shipping. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BHKT399
I’m working on a lighting mod for the model and will post progress later.

I brought my Overlord costume to Southern Fried Gaming Expo today. Here are some of the pics from a test run from home and two while playing Foo Fighters at SFGE.
Yes, I'm wearing the silicone alien mask under the skull mask the whole time. It's a fun reveal in person

THAT IS THE FRICKEN BEST COSPLAY!!!!!!!!!
Quoted from DeadFlip:THAT IS THE FRICKEN BEST COSPLAY!!!!!!!!!
Well, Foo Fighters is the fricken best pinball! Within a few minutes of starting my first game, I was pretty much convinced I was going to be a pinball owner again. The shot flow, art, and humor are all right up my alley.
Quoted from Sorokyl:saw this on facebook. Apparently even though dated a few months back distros are just now getting these. Curious what causes such wear here!
I bought a FF Pro off of a buddy a couple months ago, and when I got it home and I was cleaning it and getting ready to slide it into my line-up, I noticed that the area in that pic where it's worn down to wood over the alien's head was taking a real beating from the ball landing there after launches. Luckily no paint was missing on my Pro, but it was really dimpled to heck there. It looks like a miscalculation was made at Stern as to where the mylar needed to cover wear from ball launches in this area. I immediately cut an extra piece of mylar and applied it exactly where Stern is showing in green on that service bulletin.
Hopefully everyone does this before the paint detaches from the wood here. Unfortunately I have the feeling there's gonna be a lot of FFs with missing paint in that area.

I contacted my distributor and they said they don’t have them yet but will ship out when they do.
Was easy enough to slap some mylar down in that spot once the one owner had posted that wear there.
Another potential issue over time: the common Stern ball guides digging into the PF manifesting itself here at least in the ball guide by the center spinner. I had to replace that opto and when I disassembled I noticed the initial white line of this digging in beginning. There's some potential hard contact by a ball there so not a bad place to put a washer.

The wear comes from the autolaunch shooting the ball so it lands AFTER the mylar. It's the reason I sell a mylar cut to cover that area. Nice Stern got to it a year and a half later.
Here's the ball launch in slo-mo. You can see it lands just past the stock factory mylar.

Never had a complaint about them sliding. Problem with the rubber mats, they leave marks on the glass. Had a few customers tell me this and throw out those heavy rubber covers and replace them with mine. These are easy to remove and replace on the game, and any creases can be easily removed.

People, please spend your money supporting businesses that create original products instead of stealing intellectual property from Stern and others, like Duke Pinball / Freeplay69 does.

Not these because they aren't yoga mats. but what ever!
I have had the official Stern covers for a few years now and they don't leave any marks on my machines.
I really don't understand the purpose of those mats. If I want to cover the machine, I want it fully covered. The mat only covers the glass which is probably the hardest part to harm, the easiest to replace and the easiest to clean.

I don't know about anyone else but I like the esthetics and I can roll it up and play. No dust. That's all. We all like different things.

I cover mine because of sunlight streaming in the window directly on the glass. Not sure if the glass inhibits UVA and UVB ...but also covers the sider and front artwork.

Ah, but why do you even take them out of the box? NO LONGER MINT!
Ah, i got my Mylar extension kit today so those that are waiting, they are clearly shipping out (I'm UK and we're not usually first in line)..
