Opening the coin door cuts high power to coils, and has for years, its a safety feature.

If you look near the hinge with the coin door open, you'll see the white plastic plunger that is the coin door power interlock. If you need to put playfield power on with the door open, PULL OUT on the plunger and it will power the playfield.

Thanks! I don’t yet have the machine (distributor says it should be here any day) so I can’t post any installed pictures. I will be sure to post them ASAP.
The $30 volume control that goes in the Tournament button spot is a must-do on a home machine for me, personally.
For those who don't want to install a thumb lock or deal with opening the door for other adjustments, the Pinwoofer CDU is a pretty slick option as it brings volume controls, headphone plug, subwoofer adjustments and the service buttons all to the exterior of the coin door.

I prefer the volume control only as I have thumb locks on my doors for ease of access and I don't need guests / visitors / kids playing with externally mounted service menu buttons. I think PBL sells an external volume control and there's another option that does the same sold here in the Pinside market where the mods are.

FYI, there is a disable switch inside the cdu so kids can't mess with the menu buttons. Or , be old fashioned like me, and tell my grandkids don't touch!! 
I have the cdu on rush and gz, I'll probably buy for ff after I Play a bit

"They are pausing on the LE production and will switch to building some premiums. They plan to get back to LE's Wednesday next week."
I hear the FOO LE production just got paused and switched the line over to run Premiums...ugh, no bueno
My guess is they ran out of expression lights. ¯\_(",)_/¯

I never understand why people care about paying now or later, with Stern that is, not the other companies that can't deliver within a year. Pay when you purchase, get it off the books

Because it pisses me off that I have to pay immediately, yet the delivery timeline continues to be fluid.

Well... I mean... I feel like my machine is meager with everyone getting their LEs today, but my pro just came today and am excited to leave work and play it! Kudos to my LE brothers. Beauty of a machine. Something about that armor color just looks nice as hell with the artwork choosen.

Gorgeous game. Build quality looks great (initial impressions)...only played a few games.
One question: I have Pinwoofer systems on many of my games and I was pretty shocked at how lousy FF sounds out-of-the-box. Does anyone know if there are any "knobs" to fiddle with to improve the stock sound? My R&M sounded bad out-of-the-box but there were enough knobs to dial it in (with changing amplifiers/speakers/etc.). Thanks for any ideas.

Have a play with the on board equaliser may help.
You should not need a pinwoofer on the LE. Definatley add a sub though.
May need to wait for later code for improved audio ? This has happened before. Had to wait for IMDN.
Need to get the pitch up on that bad boy 7 degrees.

If Foo is anything like Rush, the stock speakers are not good, even on the LE. No amount of EQ made the stock backbox speakers sound good to me.
I achieved great results on Rush LE by replacing the stock speakers with Alpine S-S50 speakers and an external sub. The Alpines sounded great from the start. No EQ needed at all.

Note: The Alpines above will only fit LEs. Pro/Prem will need a 5.25 speaker plate upgrade to allow them to fit.

go into the audio menu, and turn off the EQ setting..it kills a lot of the bass, as it's some sort of HighPass Filter. I think there's a bass and treble control, but I can't seem to find that on my Deadpool (which also suffers from lack of 'umph', until an upgrade happens). Don't mess with the ohms (impedence) setting, unless you swap out the speakers that are different (4 ohm vs 8 ohm).
well, to help brighten the mood, I got my LE call this morning..will be shipped out next week. I thought I was going to get caught in the 'delay', but apparently not this time. I hope the rest of you get yours very soon as well. At least we aren't waiting a year on these!

Not saying your distributor or any reputable one would do this, but I can see this scenario:
"Sorry man, I didn't get my full allocation, your game is in the next run". Meanwhile, your game is out the door to someone else. Why? Distrib had the opportunity to make a quick sale to some guy saying "if you can get me one in a week I'm in", and the distrib already had all your money.
Anyone have some suggestions on EQ settings? I've got the upgraded Kenwoods but still don't feel like the sound quality is top notch. I'm hoping I can fiddle with the EQ and get some improvements without going all-in on the $400 pinwoofer set straight out of the gate.

It's looking good. You could add the radio station numbers and maybe a red or orange led to illuminate it. An eight track player opening and eject button would be awesome, but not sure it would fit.

Steal some real plastic wood-grained material from an old caddy and slap it over the brown. Would be epic at that point in my book
Getting my Pro tomorrow and I just saw on a FB group the plastic on the left ramp is breaking off for quite a few people.
Anyone here have that issue?

It’s being replaced with thick plexi or plastic now. So I assume it will be a ticket to get that thicker plastic in the mail. Small potatoes
