I use one of these for my office, pricing is in line with the Titan mats. This particular mat is fairly dense and it's actually most comfortable and supportive with bare feet. Think of it this way, if you stand on one of these mats in your shoes, it's your shoes that will be giving you fatigue with their relatively hard flat soles. If you stand on a cheap foam mat with your bare feet the less dense foam you will mostly sink through, but this mat supports your foot contours and is dense enough that you won't sink through... and it'll last a long time.
I also have a cheaper mat from Costco in my kitchen... they are good enough for the cost conscious, but not as good as this.
