I broke down and bought a titan to try.

It’s amazing and no regrets but the shipping and duty was brutal into Canada just for one.

I would definitely buy more in person if I saw them at a show so no shipping and fees.

They only do TPF but I agree this is the way to buy i.e. at the show.

The Titan mats seem to big to me? Need to have your pins spaced a good bit apart for them to lineup properly.

This would depend on how you position the mats. I prefer to have the short end against the game as it allows me to move my feet out further, if I wish, as I play. Since the mat is 24" x 36", positioning multiple mats in this orientation would not require additional space between your games.

This is a moot point for me though, as I just have one mat and move it from game to game as desired. Besides the huge cost, having multiple mats in the way of vacuuming my gameroom's carpeting would be too much of a hassle.

Yep too big to have side by side. I also just bought one and move around

I have one coming tomorrow for my Wife's early Christmas present. She doesn't play much pinball but I think she really likes my
new JP a lot .But after a half hour of playing she complains that standing on the hardwood floor is killing her.
If this gets her to play more pinball it'll be worth it.

I have several clients who have done their basements in this foam. It feels great to stand on while working on their pinball machines for hours at a time.
I am planning to use this in my shop eventually as well.

I didn't do the whole room/basement, but this product works/feels great...better than the expensive squishy matts IMHO (and a fraction of the price

Perhaps for a larger overall area, but nothing beats Titan's mat for single game playing comfort and durability.

They're not cheap, but you get what you pay for in the world of anti-fatigue mats.

I bought one for my wife, and it really helped her. I’m kinda surprised how much I like it too. I only have one,so I just slide it to the next game I plan on playing.

Yep - I have hip and knee pain issues when I stand on hard floors for a prolonged time and the Titan mat has really helped. I bought one (years ago now) and also just move it from game to game as needed. Still super comfortable and looks great!

    Quoted from Tuna_Delight:

So I just recently purchased a "Pinmat" from Titan Pinball and can now provide a comparison to the anti-fatigue floor mat that I had previously been using while playing pinball.
    Old HemingWeigh brand mat:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D1YF2TA/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_6
Pros are price ($40 + tax & potential shipping), good comfort (3/4" thickness), size (39" x 20"), tapered edges, and available color choices.
Main con is durability. This mat has an outer layer which has constantly torn over time and as can be seen in this current photo, I've had to apply a lot of black duct tape as maintenance since purchasing it new three years ago. The comfortability factor of this mat has held up pretty well over time though.

    New Titan Pinball "Pinmat"
    https://www.titanpinball.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=144
Pros: Excellent comfort (1" thickness), size (36" x 24"), apparent more homogenous construction, color marking choices (including glow-in-the-dark which I purchased), and stylish striped tapered edges.
    Con: Price ($118 shipped)
    [quoted image]
    Bottom line:
I can now attest to the Titan "Pinmat" as being the higher quality mat out of the box - more comfortable, better looking, and hopefully, more durable. Time will tell yet on the last factor, but I'm anticipating that it will hold up better over the long run from the feel and look of the material(s) used.
Given the price difference between the two mats, your choice may vary, but at this point, I'm liking the Titan Pinmat's comfort and looks a whole lot and my (often achy) leg joints are not complaining about the additional comfort versus cost!

What I would give for Titan to revisit their shipping options. The shipping on their pin mats is greater than the cost of the mat. Otherwise, I agree with all other feedback they are the superior option.

Well, for 10 games, Titan Mats would be close to $1,000. My solution feels great for $60 (and comes in different color choices Don't knock the comfort of my gym mat solution until you try it. I'm sure the Titan mats are great, but the gym mat's I'm using are wildly comfortable. If they weren't comfortable, I'd happily spend more money! This idea that "you get what you pay for" isn't a universal truth. I can prove my point in many different domains, but I won't bother/bore you which my diatribe...

I can vouch for the Titan mats for sure. I have a bad back and they allow me to play as well as work on the games for as long as I want. No other mat - including the gym mats - have worked me.

Not saying that gym mats for 98% of the rest of the world aren't the perfect solution just commenting on my own personal experience.

That being said the price is a lot for them but what is even more ridiculous is the shipping cost.

Even though I would like a couple more but not eating that high cost for shipping.

Yes - as I said, your choice is fine for an overall installation. I'm not advocating filling a gameroom with Titan mats.

FWIW, I've checked out padded flooring systems at various stores. They have their qualities, but are not as comfortable as a Titan mat. I stand by my contention that you get what you pay for with a Titan mat when it comes to gameplay comfort and durability.

    Enjoy!

I play with the stern mat that’s on location. I carry it from game to game, probably not the most hygienic thing to do but it’s better than sore back and hips.

I bought these from Amazon and the price fluctuates but two shipped with tax for $67 a couple months ago. Use them on concrete and carpet and play with shoes off…very thick and good quality.

Sounds like we are both happy with our solutions.

And I standby my experience that the gym mat I purchased (1/2" thick) relieves ALL foot/leg fatigue (for me). Since we all are different weights, fitness levels, ages, etc., it's entirely possible that the extra squishy padding in the Titans is necessary for different body types. I have a 1" squishy yoga mat (that is very similar to the Stern mats) and I'm not a fan. I prefer the firm, textured support of the gym mats (independent of $$).
