Man - it is sneaking up on me fast! The show is just around the corner. This is the oldest show in Florida and is in a huge new venue this year. Would love to see some Pinsiders down in Ft Lauderdale this year. The winter has got to be getting old by now, so make some reservations to come and play. There is a partial game list on the website already, but it will surely fill out even further. The venue this year is massive and has a food court area and bar, etc.

So who is coming? I'll be there with a few of my nice EMs to be played.

    #2 9 years ago

Ill be there in body....but not mind! Enjoying the Sun, Drinks, Pins, and Ladies on South Beach in February!

    Everyone....come on Down!

    #3 9 years ago

I will be there again! Good times for sure. And thanks again to the organizers!

    #4 9 years ago

Definitely going. Fun time as usual

This year looks to be the most colossal APE event ever.

    #5 9 years ago

As good a reason as any to go down to FL in February.

    #7 9 years ago

    Can't wait to be there

The game list is overflowing now lol... 1 more week left till this awesomeness!!!

    #16 9 years ago

This years APE is at a new location, Nova University college campus. You can't go wrong with a ton of pinball machines, a bunch of classic video games and college chicks walking around , sounds like a good day to me. Good times

    #17 9 years ago

Getting closer!! Looking forward to playing Wrestlemania and seeing all the Florida players and collectors. I have had a cold for the last week and it put a serious damper on my ability to finish off a game I was getting ready. I will substitute another game or two that are ready to go. I do have an EM that I have prepped for the tournament. Should be fun and fair, but just the right amount of brutal thrown in.

hey art great to see you I think the count on the games something 280 games it was a blast

    #35 9 years ago

Some side by side comparisons of same titles , led vs incandescent.... Wow, one is all orange and looks like a smoldering ember , the other one looks alive with full color....wish I could have made this event. Thanks for the walk through !

    #36 9 years ago

Thank's to Marcel, for another great Ape Show!

    #38 9 years ago

It's dark like all real arcades from back in the day were.
It seems somewhat more darker in the videos than it was.
Even older games with no LEDs were quite playable.

Me personally I like it lit up & not dark like it was at APE & I wish he would have left the lights on , they were on for about the first hour on Saturday then they went off & never came back on ... yes games were playable but way too dark to see well & made it very difficult to look at games , check out artwork etc.......even saw one guy going around checking out games with a flashlight Big Time Kuudo's to Marcel & APE for putting on a great show overall but please leave the lights on next year

    #43 9 years ago

Only pins not playable to me were the ones using colored LEDs and older generation white, single LEDs in the G.I. It was dark enough that with these two types of lighting in the games, it was difficult to track the ball. I tried to play them and ended up walking away.

    #44 9 years ago

It was a great show. I had a blast. The venue was huge which made it nice.

Yeah a lot of games were unplayable due to super bright or poorly chosen LEDs. I come to expect this at shows. More ambient light in the room would help this.

    Thanks!

Being in the final 4 is always awesome, but it was very special to me to be in another final 4 scenario with my son. I never mind if he places higher than I do; just playing with him is satisfaction enough for me.

And of course, major props to Donny for organizing another IFPA event and those who brought games for the tourney and the show and Marcel and his lovely wife for putting on another APE. So much work from so many people goes into these multi-day events.

    Thank you all !
