So I am finally getting my HS2 going, and I've been enjoying playing it but I found that I couldn't stage my lower and upper right flippers. Just making the first switch contact on the double switch stack powers both flippers.

When I checked with my multimeter there is continuity between the power wires (black yellow for upper, blue violet for lower) at the coils. So then I pulled J902 from the fliptronics board and tested from the connector end - also a short.

Should I be looking for a hack on the wiring harness, or worn insulation, or is this normal behaviour ?

Yes, I saw one of the differences between L2 and L5 was ?? 2 state flippers ?? - I wasn't sure what that was , but anyway this seems hardware related rather than software?
