Flippers move out of adjustment

I replaced my flippers on my twilight zone, but after a few whacks on the ball, they came out of adjustment, and the resting position was way off.

How tight are the bolts supposed to be that hold the flipper shaft ? Do I need loc-tite ? Is there some other trick ?
