Does anybody have any advice as to why my right flipper would be stuck in the up position making a humming noise?

Ahh - I am learning right now on my star trek that my stuck coil is a transistor. Page 13 manual will show you which components the flipper is using (Q15 drive transistor, etc). Check the connections for blown things, test the transistor, check those things listed on page 13.
