RH flpper is sticking in the up right position. When the machine is off I can't seem to manually get the flipper to stick. The entirely mechanism seems to move freely, when the machine is off. It would appear that the black cat coil just isn't releasing the piston.

I'm sure this is a common problem but wondered if this is something that can be easily repairs (and therefore I'll have a go at removing it and repairing it) if not I'll start looking for a replacement mech.

    Any comments would be appreciated.

Does the flipper fall back in position when you power off the game?
Check the diode on that coil..Use a multimeter to test it.A faulty diode can cause this problem.

Like mike said....had the same problem on a DE TFTC....broke diode on flipper coil

The flipper falls back occasionally when the machine is in play but it's hit & miss. A fast rolling ball will knock the flipper back down when in play. The flipper can be easily knocked back down by hand, when stick, if I've got the glass off.
