The new spot is right on main street in the middle of town on the corner of Miner and 16th (if I'm correct) and now serves food and drink. The space is much nicer than the old one and it just opened up yesterday. The menu has a top 10 things you didn't know about pinball on the back and the selection of beer and spirits is quite nice. Boddington's = Tasty. There's about a dozen pins up and running including a Gottlieb North Star that made me look downright silly.

    Welcome back Flipper McGill's!

I'd like to know about the waitress's.

    Kim

FYI. There is a misconception about my name. Kim, is a guys name. Or in my case to be precise, it's a dirty old mans name.

    Carry on.

That Tales from the Crypt is way sweet. Play on Pin-heads! The Cherry Bell and the Faces keep things interesting with some great designs from those wacky Spaniards. Stop by the new joint and grab a game or seven.

    #16 10 years ago

great news - best of luck in the new place

    #17 10 years ago

We had a little of everything on the menu. The chicken wings, jalapeño poppers (wraped with apple wood bacon and fried) the Gorgar burger (if you live on the fiery side then get this one!) a few Chicago dogs (all beef) and plenty of fries. Didn't see the HUGE milkshakes untill we were about to leave. Guess I need to get back up there soon! The menu is going to expand a bit I hear. Oh yeah.... Did I mention the pinball machines!

Nice job Cory! Congrats and good luck!

    #18 10 years ago

I was there yesterday! Had a great time and even had an awesome milk shake with my kid.

This makes me so happy! I am in that area several times a year, and I've really missed Flipper McGills since it closed. I'm actually going up to Summit County next week - I will make sure to set aside time for a trip to Idaho Springs. Fantastic news!

Still waiting on you to finish this sentence Kim. The waitress's what? What about the waitresses are you wanting to know about?

Corey, looks REALLY great! Much success to you my friend. Though you've got a couple of dark games there. I'm back in the area in a couple of weeks if you're in need of anything.

Don't forget me, Rob. You know how needy I am.

Let me know when you're in town, Rob. I'll buy you lunch at Flippers McGill's. This a photo of their burger posted on Facebook and I'm salivating to get there.

What are your hours? What beers are on tap? Thanks!

    #28 10 years ago

I got to visit today and had an awesome time! Great selection of machines from the 1970s to today. The owner told me they are going to have a Metallica soon as well. It's in a beautiful location and there's lots for my wife and daughter to do around that part of town while I play pinball. I can't wait to go back, which I'm sure I'll be doing a lot this summer.

    #29 10 years ago

Looks great! I'm definitely looking forward to checking out the new location.

I had a chance to stop by this week. I got there just 20 minutes before closing but was able to get in several games. They have a good lineup but Metallica was down for service. TWD had a low GC score of just 54 mil and had I had another minutes just might have gotten on the board.
