The switch doesn't care. I believe that cap is not polarized. (I don't know which games had a cap on the cabinet switch; I've never seen that before.)
Some capacitors are polarized. Polarized capacitors should be clearly marked with "+" or "-" (I've never seen a band - a band is used for diodes). They are usually electrolytic or tantalum capacitors. Ceramic capacitors are usually not polarized.
