Ok so im working on a 76 Space Odyssey.
I put in new flipper coils and a new EOS on the left side.
Both flipper coils are wired the same and Ive double checked they are wired correctly.

The right Flipper works as expected.

The Left Flipper fires but then when the EOS switch opens the coil goes dead.
The EOS switch then closes (because the coil goes dead) and then fires again.
This creates a flutter situation.

Ive resoldered the wires to be double sure theres a good connection

The only thing i can think is that the low voltage circuit in the coil is bad.

Any ideas?

Yeah thats next on my list.... what a pain in the ass.
I wonder if they will send me a replacement coil if it is bad..

Nah left has all wires. center going to EOS is there and in strong.

2 wires left lug 1 going to EOS
1 wire middle going to EOS
2 wires right lug

i dug around and found an original flipper coil so ill swap that one in and see what happens

OK so it was a bad coil. Ill email tomorrow and see if they will send me another.

Thanks Steve. Ill post some before pics in another thread when its done. It was a complete mess but shined up real nice. The only part im annoyed by is the flipper wear but i may go after that after its completely working and together.
