Quoted from CadillacMusic:

Anybody know the technical part of why this is so? I blew up a lot of transistors and not a few solenoids before I figured this out.

I am curious about this also if anyone can answer? I have a RBION that had the upper R flipper die. Transistor at Q14 tested seems fine the diode on coil also seems ok. All fuses are good so not sure what to try next. I have a new coil on order so will see how that goes. But reading this post sounds similar to my issue.

Anyone have on coils going bad on SAM like this, open to suggestions <?
