what causes flipper chatter? How can I diagnose the cause of my flipper chatter (left flipper) on my Fireball Classic machine?

Usually a broken wire on the coil's secondary winding. Typically the smaller / finer wire close to the solder tab.

yup, even if it does not appear broken.

Cut it off, strip back to clean wire and resolder it back on.
