Hey everyone, I need some advice.
I am looking at a machine for purchase, its in pretty good shape for a player pin, not a museum piece but nice. One thing that stands out is the amount of wear around the flipper buttons. The wear marks are about the size of a hand and a small area is down to the wood. There are a few other scrapes on the cab too, but very minor. Also the character on the side had a mustache marked on him, it would probably come off with a little work not too worried about that

I am not trying to flip or anything, but knowing the hobby its not unlikely that I might sell the game after a few years (but maybe not). And the side of the cabinet is not something I would care to or try to fix.

How much would you all think it would affect the value?

Or how much do you think it would cost to fix? Not that I am likely too, but it might be a good basis for the impact to value.

    Thanks in advance everyone.

UFO, I agree with you. But realistically it matters to a lot of people. Would you pay the same price for a car with a dent on the door as one without if it runs good?

Its about a $1700 machine if that helps. From what I can tell fully functioning and playfield is probably a 7 or 8. With a few small cosmetic items in the playfield that need replace, nothing I consider major.

Well, I am kind of holding back on the name because I didn't want to tip anyone else off to it. Most people on pinside seem pretty honest, but you never know who is out there lurking...... Yes I have trust issues....

Lets just say its an early 90's B title ranks about 130 here on pinside. I would say mint, I mean brand new condition, on this title would be about $2800 maybe 3. The rest of it is average.

Seems like popular opinion is that its less of a big deal the less "desirable" of a pin it is. If it were an AAA title it would be a big deal, but on a B title not so much?

Again I am sorry I am being so vague.......
