Hi All,

I noticed my Diner flipper button switches are original and the contacts are almost gone, all eaten up. Still the game plays great and have no apparent problems. I'm rebuilding a ton of stuff on my game and wondering if there is a benefit to change those? Should I see an improvement? Or the switch either work or not. Then I could probably leave those there...

What do you think?

Good question. I don't know the answer.

I would think for Fliptronics, it doesn't really matter to much. But this is pre-Fliptronics. I'm not sure if the flipper button switches are high voltage or not. If they are high voltage, replacement would probably be a good thing.

replace them. Your flippers are old style and 50v runs through those points.

Should I see an improvement, perhaps snappier flippers?
Love your avatar btw...

Thanks man! I love that poster.

And yes it will give you more reliable and responsive 'snappier' flippers particularly if any resistance was/is found on your originals. If you replace them in a home use setting they will never wear out.
Do your flipper EOS points too if they have never been done and get spark arrest caps for them as well. 2.2uf 250v I believe. And then play play play
