Hi, hoping someone can solve this as I’m a little stumped. I’m 99% complete restoring my Taxi, with the micro switches still causing me grief. I purchased 2 new micro scwitches as the original metal lever was quite loose. I couldn’t find the originals but found one with a similar profile. I reinstalled them as per the original but they don’t register when the flipper button is pressed. I’ve gone into the switch test and nothing, I’ve taken the diode off, resoldered and nothing. Thinking the microswitch May have a different pin out, I’ve tried all other connection combos but still nothing. So can I assume the problem is further up the line? If so, where do I look??

Thanks for clarifying LTG, I’ll whip out the soldering iron tonight. Hopefully that’s one more problem off the list.

Doing some further reading I found this which states my setup is correct??

The diode 100% is soldered, the image is a little deceptive. But it seems it’ll need adjusting. Love the massive community on pinside so willing to help. Thanks all.

Well I’ve pulled it apart and resoldered it back together and the same thing... not recognised. I should say, the pics are quite deceptive as I had it connected correctly in the first place.

I’ve attached the current right and left flipper switch.

I’ll start tracing back the wires and see if anything obvious appears.

Thank you all for the help. It appears the simplest answer is often where the issue lies. The connector on the back board needed reseating. The wiring, although not appearing to some in the pics, was actually correct.

Since reseating the connector, a few other switches are now failing to register correctly, looks like the connector is making a poor connection.
