My MM's right flipper was stuck in up position yesterday and stayed up even when shut off so I knew it was mechanical. Lifted playfield today and heard parts falling off - clunk - clunk. Looks like the end of the bracket thing that holds the entire flipper assembly broke off. I'm a newb at repair - is this normal? Easy for me to fix?

    is this normal?

No, it must of had a crack in it by the threaded portion.

Piece of cake to fix, you could also look at Vids guide to rebuilding flippers if you get stuck.

New bracket, swap parts over. Done

You can also just buy an entire new assembly from pinball life if you don't feel like moving it all over

    Nice.

You sure don't see that every day.

I've never seen a flipper bracket break like that - WOW!

At least it's a cheap and easy fix.

Make sure you order the correct flipper bracket as there is a right side and a left side.

I've seen plenty of cases of the coil stop breaking (at the bend), but this is the first I've seen of a bracket snapping in 2 like that.
