Need help understanding why my Flip a Card Ball Count Unit won’t Reset after a game is over.

Here’s what happens: after power up with the Game Over light on as it should be I press the start button and the display says it’s on ‘Ball 5’ and the score motor runs constantly and the ball does not kick to the shooter lane.

If I manually push in the coil plunger on the BCU in the backbox, the gear opens and I can manually turn the unit back to where the switches engage, the ball kicks out and it goes to Ball one as it should. The game plays perfectly and the BCU advances like it should after the ball drains. But once the game is over, you push the start button and it’s back to the same non startup. Score motor runs and it shows it’s on ball 5.

I did have an issue with a loose wire that I had to resolder from the Reset Completed relay to the Game Over relay but thanks to another Pinsider, I know it’s in the right place.

Just wonder why the BCU won’t pulse back to starting position after hitting the start button. Thanks. Danny

Here’s a couple of pictures of the BCU on this game.

Have you checked this switch and made sure it's clean and correctly gapped?

Would that be the switch on the left in the pic of the BCU backside? If so, yes I cleaned them and they seem to be gapped correctly. If not let me know what other switch it is. Thanks for helping.
