Quoted from brianmcculloh:

No. Is that a pretty involved thing?

I don’t understand this question.

BEST THing to do is buy a new bower board and solder the wires in one at a time from the other power board... right guys?

Quoted from fissionch1ps:

I got some CPR plastics in for my F2K. The original plastics have these riveted posts on them. The Repos dont. Any of you have experience finding the part to fit these? Thanks!
[quoted image]

Use a solder iron to heat up the metal bell, pull out of old plastic to remove... heat and press / shimmy them into place into the new plastic

... That’s how I did the ones on my Gamatron and paragon anyways, it worked pretty well

Quoted from fissionch1ps:

This is a surprisingly hot button issue. I've found this as well:
https://web.archive.org/web/20160320050407/https://classicplayfields.com/f2khelp.html

I'm worried about cooking the artwork with this method. This is great for the clears.

Thanks for the tip! I contacted him.

Hmmmmm! I kinda wish I had seen that before, but I can see no heat spots from my work, so I’m good, but I’ll keep this in mind for the next time

Quoted from Reaper802:

I had a buddy recently pick up a Flight 2000 and for the most part everything seems to be working. The biggest issue I see so far is there is no GI or backbox lighting. I'm thinking this is because J1 as show on the attached photo is extra toasty. What is my best option for a replacement 8 pin connector? Also am I on the correct track that J1 feeds the GI and backbox lighting directly?
[quoted image]

I bet you’re correct, that thing looks smoked

I bet that feels good to have that rockin!

Looking for a nice playfield if anyone has one to sell, Would be fine if lamp sockets are still installed and if some parts are still on. Also would be good with a new repro as well

#536 4 years ago
Quoted from wolffcub:

Will need to look into that. My multi meter has no logic test mode. Might need to either get a designated unit or look into a better meter that has that option.

Quoted from cottonm4:

Thank you ,
Yup, I just came up with the $, went to eBay to check out and they were sold

#556 4 years ago
Quoted from cottonm4:

If you have not then send the seller and EBay PM and she if she has more.
Her dad was an operator from way back and she had lots of play fields.

I actually did that . Her and I are in conversation, she doesn’t have any left . And she’s about to go on vacation for quite a while

Quoted from Bulldozer:

I got one of the PF from the Latin American lady who was selling off her fathers old stock.
All in all its in great shape being 4 decades old.
I will probably apply some additional clearcoat as it feels very thin. Do you know if PFs had less CC back in the days?[quoted image][quoted image]

Did you pick up both playfields she had?

Quoted from CPR:

Just picked up a CAD sample so its coming sooner than you might have thought. My original sample was reprinted and sent back to the guy. I don't believe in making copies of copies so each PF must be a reproduction of an ACTUAL PF that came out of a game.
Mike

Yes, I’d like to have a nice playfield, so repro would be good as well

Quoted from psd4me:

I bought those and silkscreened them for my resore.

Might want to clear coat them as well

Sorry to bump this again, I’m in the market for a nice playfield I can swap in to my f2k. I know of a cpr out there but the price is high... I could even restore one that’s not too terrible, but also trying to save myself the time and tools. Or maybe there’s a cpr that someone has that’s not needing a Kings ransom

Quoted from Inkochnito:

How do you think he is going to do that?
All solenoid transistors are used.
You could change the coin lockout to be used as knocker, but all others are used in the game.[quoted image]

How about firing both popbumpers at the same time

Quoted from Reaper802:

Inlane guides have now been digitized in Fusion 360. Anyone want to do a test 3D print to make sure I scaled the scans correctly?
Once they are verified does anyone have access to a CNC laser cutter that can handle 1/16" stainless steel?[quoted image]

Thank you for doing this!
If anyone makes them out of metal, I should be in for a set
