Quoted from Mitch:The correct clock speed is the slower one isn't it? They should be on the left for a stern game
No. Fast.

The manual and the alltek website all say the jumpers should be on the left like all sterns from that era. Unless I'm reading it wrong. Flight 2000 used a stern mpu200 right?
Quoted from Superchicken:Yes. MPU200 which is fast.
OK it's working perfectly now. I had the jumper set to stern mpu 200 and it was running slow, moved the jumpers to the right for stern bally mpu100 and the game runs faster now and works perfectly, even the menu works now. Wondering if the alltech jumper printing is wrong.
This is how I have it set now and the lights pulse faster and the game works perfect.
interesting , now you can pass self test #2 and get into bookkeeping ?
again I normally run the MPU-200 board and my alltek board only plays the same if I have jumpers set to the left as per instructions & screen printing on the board itself. the game was playable with the "wrong settings" but seemed very sluggish
my alltek board is printed the same as yours

Yup menu works perfect now can cycle through with the coin door button and the clear button works too.
That's really strange. I have had alltek boards in my F2K, more than one and never had that issue with the jumpers set to MPU-200. I know the earlier F2K's had the outhole kicker mech on the top side of the pf, under the apron and then went to the under mounted kicker, I wonder if the playfield might be wired differently to cause the malfunction? All the F2K's I have run into had the lower mounted kicker.
It's very strange especially because the menu only works with the jumpers on the right too... and it was like this with both alltek boards.

Interesting. Seems like something is pinned differently on the switch connector. I know this isn't your game, but I was going to suggest putting in 4 balls and see if it plays normally. I'm guessing if the first switch in the trough is always closed it would be fine.
I don't think that's a solution, just a bandaid for the real problem. Did you ever try completely disconnecting the lamp driver board and testing as others have suggested?

Yup I've done everthing suggested in this thread nothing worked.
It crazy as the game works perfectly now, plays full game, flashes high score before the last ball, menu buttons work properly. Might have to leave it as is for now. Every switch works, sounds work, music works it's crazy.

Just curious, did you look to see which outhole eject mech is has? Top or bottom mount.
