how do you fix flickering scoreboard lights?
resolder/replace the headers on the displays
resolder/replace j1 on the mpu board
replace the connectors on j1 on the mpu board and on the display harness (do not use trifurcon on the displays, they would be extremely difficult to get off in the future)
Check the display refresh frequency on the mpu board
Check the high voltage display on the solenoid driver/power board rebuild if needed. Do not leave the voltage <185v for testing, lots of people turn it down to 170 to 'save the displays', but they were designed to operate between 185v-190v. use care here, zap won't kill you but hurts none the less
You can start by taking a couple of the displays out if the remaining displays stop flickering it's probably the high voltage section, but the resoldering should always happen on all the displays anyway
When all the displays are flashing it's almost always a fail with the display interrupt generator circuit. Do the easy stuff first.

I recommend dialing down to 180 but not lower.
