Flasher Resistors - Some HOT, some not., in attract mode?

Laser War - Curious if only some of the flasher rectangle resistors should be really hot and some cool as a cucumber while just in attract mode? There are 3 that are hot, they are for the red, yellow, blue base flashers.., while the others are not hot at all. (Same brown and black, or brown and gray wires connect to those 3)

Edit. *yes, they get hot.
